Alchemy Coffee

Love this neighborhood coffee shop. Chris (owner) as well as all the baristas, are friendly and professional. The atmosphere is quiet and has a clean Scandinavian vibe. My cappuccino’s are consistently excellent. Added awesomeness, this is a black-owned business.

Partner needed a fix after our train ride and ended up here. Aesthetically pleasing. Warming and inviting. Good coffee. But the plague of people all on laptop at 90% of the tables all practically on Zoom calls is a real turn off. May come again for the coffee but not stay for this atmosphere.

I drove all the way from the suburbs for this?! Met with a friend the barista was rude and dropped my change in my hand, then put my coffee on the counter and didn’t say a word. After 5 minutes I glanced over and asked if the cappuccino was mine and she nodded. Very rude and I wouldn’t recommend.

The interior design of this establishment is so breathtaking. It set such a beautiful and positive atmosphere for relaxation and casual conversation. There were people doing work on laptops, so the room was quiet when my friends and I first entered, but the employees welcomed conversation and friendly pleasantries. The beverages were made very fast and efficiently. I’m so happy that I chose this place to spend with my friends for a day in Philly.

Sleek, new coffee shop that has a minimalist decor and serves Elixr coffee. I highly recommend the shaken mint cold brew!

Really good coffee. Nice, calming, well-lit decor. Not crazy about all the laptop-crazy folks that always overtake the place but not sure what could be done about this.

A perfect espresso, macchiato, cortado. Robust flavorful espresso perfectly brewed. The optional oat milk is very refreshing and provides a hint of oat sweetness. I'm excited to come back and try the bold cold brew!

Purchased an Americano coffee. It was decent, warm, and had an ok favor. There are significant limitations with this coffee shop. They only offered one size cups and had a limited amount of artificial sugar sweetener options.

The seating arrangement was limited but overall there was a good utilization of the space that was provided to them in this small, quaint location.

The atmosphere was lights and simplistic. I could sit here for hours just reading a book or working on my papers while trying different coffees. I look forward to trying other options in the future.
