Super eclectic little shop with GREAT coffee. Gets a little bit crowded with not much standing room to wait for your drink but its worth it!

My wife and I went out for a bike ride. We took $6 with us. My wife went in to get a cookie and lemonade. They told her she was 24 cents short and made her choose between the $4.25 oatmeal raisin cookie (outrageously priced) and the $1.99 lemonade. I went in to inquire about it and the manager just smirked at me. Definitely a huge change from its predecessor. Not going back. I have heard bad reports from my friends. But, this was over the top.

Seven Stones is by far my favorite coffee shop in all the land. I have never seen a better atmosphere, friendlier staff, better menu, etc. anywhere else. From the excellent La Colombe coffee to the local art on the walls, they are humble and awesome. Coffee? Awesome. Gelato? Awesome. Sandwiches? Awesome. Tea selection? Awesome. Soups? Awesome. Pastries? Awesome. Atmosphere? Awesome. I have gone here by myself to write, I have met one and many friends here. I have witnessed laid back job interview take place here. They are pet friendly, kid friendly, everyone friendly. If you are in or around Media, you should go here.

Great coffee ~ from plain Joe to exotic concoctions. Also, yummy sodas. ( and The Usual Suspects...)
Sandwiches are all tasty. Try them all. ( I'm crazy about the sweet and savory chicken salad sandwich. It is served on a wonderful bread. Yes there are raisins in the bread -~ just enough to a subtle zing factor..

Fast and friendly service

HOWEVER ~ Please heed this WARNING > (😀) regarding their wide variety of DESSERTS, ice cream and gelato. It may be extreme but I strongly encourage you to try every offering in the in the dessert Department.

Cozy but not crowded. Relaxed seating outside and yes it's dog friendly outside. Also seven stones Cafe lots of bowls and lots of Waterford doggies to drink out of.

You can just sit for a while and use your computer or devices and it's all a very relaxed atmosphere.
Oh, did we mention on weekend evenings there is a live music presentation? And the wide variety of music is generally fun.

BONUS there is a Seven stones store that offers a wide variety of jewelry, rings and earrings. It is worth mentioning that there is a very interesting array of these items. And all relatively reasonably priced.

My humble suggestion - fill your belly at the seven stones Cafe on Plum Street, relax and then stroll on over to seven stones store on the east side of State Street, just a few blocks down and look at the lovely jewelry and dresses and dare I say hippy dippy stuff.
You will have a great time. Peace be with you

When it’s 37°, all your doors are open, a customer walks in with a puffy coat and hat and says it’s cold. Your response should not be “really? I’m hot”. Ridiculous 😡

We moved to media in April 2019 and we have been coming to isla cafe every week. Love the place and staff. Owner, manger ,servers all are great. I was laughing with the comment below. If you are going out next time take $20 and don’t expect the cafe shop to pay for your drink or cookies—Unbelievable.

Not only does Seven Stones have the best coffee, good pastries, light sandwiches, friendly, courteous people, and wifi, but the staff has the best tatoos anywhere, especially the manager's. And cool art up on the wall by local artists. Love it all.

Finally, good espresso! Too bad it's 20 miles from home, but worth it as a motorcycle destination. The Macchiato is the real thing, not the 300 calorie Starbucks sugar-fest. Next time I'll try something from the sandwich menu and report back. Prices are reasonable.

A couple years ago I got tired of the rude staff and bad coffee so I stopped going. A shame since it’s right in town and the location is great! After the Memorial Day parade today we were hungry and I remembered today that I had an old gift card for this place so I attempted to give it another shot, ugh. Huge mistake. The girl at the register was so so rude. My husband also noticed. I wasn’t allowed to use my gift card (old system and the $ needed to be transferred to a new gift card but the girl rudely told me it was NOT possible to do today and I’d have to come back to do it another time) and she was generally just a little snot. Rather than just go check how long our food order would be she tried to steer us away from ordering because “it would take too long” umm ok. She told me that quiche would take the longest (over 30 minutes is what we were told). Hmmm I didn’t order an entire quiche..just one slice! Let’s be serious....each slice is reheated and does not come from a fresh pie. When another employee heard this she came over and and said that the cook only had one order on his list so we proceeded with our order. I was pretty frustrated that I couldn’t use my gift card but we had waited in a very long line so we had no choice but to pay with a regular card and continue on. There was no thank you or anything when our order was complete. My regular coffee was still bad like it used to be. My husbands pumpkin latte was alright. It generally just feels like the staff does not want you there and like you are an inconvenience to them. I felt bad for this place for a second when burlap and bean opened down the street but I don’t feel bad anymore. They are much friendlier and have much better coffee. Go there instead.

This is my favorite cafe in all of DelCo--relaxed, warming, and welcoming, Seven Stones cafe is never a disappointment. My favorite coffee is their Mint Chocolate Dream, and their food is always satisfying. I wish they did have free Wi-Fi, however, so I could bring my laptop to write and work here (I work from home). Otherwise, an excellent place to grab coffee and lunch! It's small yet intimate and cozy.
