I love this place ... it's clean and bright and the drinks are well made. The coffee is better than anywhere around here. But I have a major complaint. Every time I show up with my family (which is often), we sit in the back room. Three or four visits in a row it is sweltering in that room. If you look at the thermostat, it's set on HEAT on 70 degrees (please note this comment is being written in August). The thermometer reads 76 degrees. Which means that the air is never going to come on. I've left earlier than intended each of these times because it's so hot, which obviously means I'm spending less money. I'll be honest, I live in Westmont but have driven to Starbucks to sit and do work because of the temperature in the MG. When I ask the staff for assistance, they say their hands are tied because the owner controls those things. So this is my attempt to let the people in charge know. A little environmental adjustment would lead to a 5 star review.

Nice café that was formerly a bank. They made it very cozy inside though and the coffee was good!

I tried cold-brew coffee for the first time and it was awesome. They did a great job renovating and decorating to give a modern, cozy feel. In addition, the service was quick and friendly. I will definitely return when I am in that area. Go support this local business!

Great brews. I'm a light roast person and the selection rotates regularly. Staff is delightful. They make a point to remember your name and your preference. I go there to start my day and get some work done almost daily.

The coffee is always well made and their cold brew is very flavorful. At first all their pastries were bought from their general food vendor and were just awful, very dense and had an off flavor. They have started advertising new local pastries offered now, but every time I ask the Baristas they can't actually tell me which ones are local and which are not.
They do offer non-diary options which is a nice bonus.

I've had negative experiences here almost every time I've come, which saddens me because this place has the ability to be great!
During COVID when masks were required and before vaccine roll outs, staff wasn't wearing any masks. If you're preparing food and drinks in the middle of a pandemic, please mask up. It was disgusting and inconsiderate to not do so, especially for patrons who might be immunocompromised. That decision spoke volumes to me about this business.
Two staff were working the day I came in. One staff was talking to a customer and holding her baby for over 20 minutes while the other staff member took multiple orders and tried to make drinks and prepare food on her own. I waited for my breakfast sandwich and latte for 20 minutes while she worked tirelessly and the other staff member seemed oblivious to the situation. Maybe it didn't bother the staff who was working, but patrons were waiting significantly longer for their food and drinks.
What makes a business is not just the product, but the employees. I won't be returning for a long time, if ever.

Unfortunetly the employee's either do not wear masks or they wear them completely wrong. Their patrons usually do not wear masks either. Not sure if it's a political thing or just ignorance. My family and I will no longer go to this establishment.
The coffee was good though.

This little coffee shop has a great atmosphere and a convenient location. It is roomy enough for my bookclub to meet and also has a drive thru if you are in a hurry. The staff is polite and the coffee is delicious. Shop local! This is the kind of business of which Johnstown needs more.

This is my favorite place in johnstown for coffee. If you don't know Dave the owner you will after your first visit. He and his staff make you feel like family and make every visit personable.
