I've been a long time patron and I think I've finally concluded I won't go back unless in a tough spot. Don't get me wrong the coffee is great but the place is uncomfortably packed with people enjoying the hipster atmosphere. The workers are jovial with each other, but not so happy to tell you if a coffee was made for you or someone else or to fill your mug that doesn't fit their minimal coffee sizes. The long wait even for espresso and a bagel feeling uncomfortable just isn't worth it to me.

I enjoy their cappuccinos and the warm atmosphere. I recommend!

Our absolute favorite coffeeshop in the area. Their pastries are amazing (get there early cause they sell out!), coffee is delicious, staff is kind and so helpful, AND the music is 10/10.

I will be honest, I am not a big coffee drinker. That said, I visited this place about two days ago, the coffee was very smooth (as in no bite to it at all). The prices were much more reasonable than I expected, I will take this place over the ol' Star Bucks any day of the week. The interior is nice with a simple rustic atmosphere with plenty of seating. I will be visiting Green Engine again!

This place is coffee shop goals. I went with my girlfriend for the first time and immediately settled into the chill atmosphere (warm lighting and quality, non-distracting music) and had a very productive study session. The staff is incredibly responsive, and one staff member even picked up my dirty mason jar off the ground and washed it out for me, right before leaving to catch his train home. The drip coffee is great - many steps up from the stuff I get at my University - and the bagel/picked lax sandwich I got (called salmon gravlax on their menu) tasted great and kept me full for several hours. I noticed that the staff member making my sandwich took his time to carefully get an even spread of toppings on my sandwich - it's little things like this that make me super happy. The bathrooms are tidy and well-ventilated. I'm definitely coming back!

New to this stretch of the main line and stumbled across this gem of a coffee shop. Sweet drinks, eats, and friendly service.

Really love this place. Super cozy and comfy. It's my favorite place to get coffee on rainy days or just with friends when I want to show them what's around town . I definitely recommend the Spanish hot chocolate. Their staff is super friendly and very willing to help. Better than Starbucks !

Green Engine is unquestionably one of the best local coffee spots on the main line. The drinks and pastries are top notch and the employees are super friendly and hard-working!

Delicious breakfast, order the Kickstarter! Friendly staff, vibey aesthetic, spacious layout, tasty coffee. What more can you ask for, it’s the perfect coffee shop.

As an older person, I did not feel welcome here and the pastries just did not taste good. I tried several just in case I had received a bad one and I just didn't understand if it was the ingredients or a new way of "baking?" Who knows, but I am not in a hurry to come back here. It's also an incredibly odd space, feels more like someone's living room than a coffee shop, but maybe that's the vibe they're going for. I ordered several coffees, a sandwich, and pastries to share with my grandson and nothing was good. It was bizarre because it takes a lot to ruin coffee and food that should be easy to make flavorful.
