This place is awesome. Delicious food, great coffee, and a friendly atmosphere. A hidden gem! Pass the chains and the lines and test yourself to an authentic coffeehouse experience.

We were in Erie for a stay over at an AirBNB, and decided (after a little research on line for local coffee shops), that the "Tipsy Bean" looked interesting. We were, and still are, very impressed with this coffee house and cafe, that has a superb outdoor patio surrounded by flowers, herbs, and concord grapes that are lovingly cared for by a staff member. We selected a blend of coffee along with a gluten free scone and biscotti and enjoyed eating in the patio area. Their indoor space is tastefully decorated with local artisan's paintings and ceramics that may also be purchased. We will visit the Tipsy Bean upon our next visit to Erie!!

As a native Oregonian that now lives in Nashville, this was the perfect coffee shop to find! Their food was all made from scratch and delicious!! Their coffee was amazing!! I highly suggest a lavender latte with blue pea flour. The conversation was genuine and authentic! The manager and her staff were splendid! I can appreciate people who truly care! This is more than just a coffee shop, they serve everything with love!

Large selection of coffee and quaint decor inside. Large parking lot, for downtown, and a beautiful garden area to sit outside.

Great coffee and a great atmosphere. Neat place to grab something hot to drink. We were pleasantly surprised about the neat outdoor patio.

Really cozy and inviting atmosphere! I love that they promote local art/music and the humane society. The barista was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to give my iced coffee a little something extra. I definitely highly recommend!

Nice little quiet coffee shop , very good coffee , friendly welcoming staff , it is wheelchair Accesible ( the front door is a little on the heavy side , another customer or staff member is always happy to give you a hand ) good selection of sweets ,bagels and quiche . Each time I go there they have had displays of local artist crafts and some have been quite visually stunning . The inside is beautiful old wood ,I grew up in old “farmhouse” that was the first upstate TB hospital for city patients to recover back in the 1800s, I appreciate wood and the whole vibe of the place is not lost on me , it very much reminds me of being home in the kitchen , so maybe it’s activating my nostalgia buttons a touch , I assure you there coffee is much better than my old percolator .
