Quaint & cozy downtown theater. Very clean! Snacks looked yummy though I did not partake. Way better experience than Regal or AMCs in the area

Great old-style theater (which I remember from my childhood) upgraded to modern standards.

First time attending a movie at the Allen Theatre and I can see why my parents have raved about it for years. I love seeing old spaces used how they were meant to be used and preserved for future generations. I also love the updated sound system (thanks Clair Brothers) plus the cafe has lots of nice options for your snacking wants/needs! Definitely going back...

(Coffee house review) I really liked the interior. Had a nice retro feel. The coffee ice cream flavored milkshake was awesome (and it was a big shake too). The turkey sandwich was not as good in my opinion. Taste was just mediocre. Overall not bad though.

For the coffee house: Love the place and the atmosphere. Just wish the service was better. Seems like the associates are always in a bad mood or just don't care. It's a shame.
Theater experience is always fine. Great sound and a large screen.

The Allen takes you back in time, before the days of Megaplexes. The screen and sound system are great, and the refreshments are great and reasonably priced. They also have soups and sandwiches and Ice cream in their cafe! This place is probably my favorite venue for movies, old and new!

Love the Allen! love to support the work they do in the community and the art they share! food is good, space is comfortable, ambiance is nice. no reclining seats or anything fancy like that, but that's alright!

Hello, I have always have had an excellent experienced going to the Allen Theater. I really appreciate the authentic hospitality the staff shares with me. The owner ( Skip ) once apologized to me about the noise ( music ) permeating the theater from the outside patio of the wine establishment next door, and Skip insisted on giving me a free ticket to another movie event in the future, what a guy! and I still watched the currant movie. Skip you are few and far between. I live in Colonial Park, but well worth the drive to the Allen Theater. I feel the sense of Tranquility...
PS: the food is great too!!!
Thank you,
Ron Weaver

Comfy seats with cup holders. Can take anything from Cafe into theater... Coffee, ice cream, sandwiches, soup, paninis, etc. Cheaper than national theater chains. Just installed latest Dolby 7.1 sound system. Locally owned and operated. They even have a red velvet curtain that opens when movie starts. Only shows 1 or 2 previews too! Matinee are $7, otherwise $9. And 2 sodas plus popcorn for less than $10. I'm not affiliated with them... Just love supporting local businesses.
