Fish tacos were excellent! A very generous serving. So much in fact, that we couldn't finish the outrageously good cinnamon roll that three of us shared. This was a great choice for our family dinner.

We stopped in to have quick bite on a road trip day. Looked very quaint on the outside, but, the inside looks more like a cafeteria. We got our menus, the server was nice enough, we looked at the menu, and WOW, those prices are high. For a small town in a rural area, they have 5 star pricing. We got our food, which was good, but not that good, to pay those prices, especially on a lunch menu. I don't foresee us going back to that place.

Maybe breakfast just isn't their thing, but they really should not be serving it then. Just stick to coffee and cinnamon rolls and if you really are good at lunch or dinner just serve that. My coffee was good and the server was very pleasant. However, she could not answer basic questions on food preparation and did not recognise pictures that are posted on recent reviews.
The biscuits and gravy were the worst ever. The cook does not cook out the flour and so the gravy is very chalky as well as he adds sugar making the flavor horrible. One bite and I was done. The chicken fried steak is a pre made frozen that you buy from a wholesale distributor and drop in the deep fryer. Definitely not what I was expecting from a Mennonite owned cafe in Scio. The previous owner had infinite culinary experience and mounds of Passion. Not sure what is going on here, but I do not believe the new owners want to be in the restaurant business. Perhaps a rough start with covid took the wind out of their sail.

My husband and I ate there for the first time this morning. We are 80 years old. We each had an omelet and it was the best breakfast we have had in our long lives. The quality of the food was amazing. Can't wait to return and try the lunches. Worth the 30 mile drive. Once you go there you will have trouble staying away.

Fantastic restaurant. Food was excellent as was the service. I've never encountered such a friendly environment. Loved the feel of place, a nice atmosphere that doesn't make you feel rushed. Truly a great experience, even with my two slightly rowdy boys.

The servers and staff were very friendly, the soup I had was delicious, coffee was good. The menu had many good sounding choices on it; I will need to return and try them! Prices were quite reasonable.

Graduation celebration here with 14 close family and friends. Food was perfect and the service was the best we've had in recent years. This place is special. Don't leave without trying the pie!

Just good simple Americana food. You'll have daily specials, quick helpful service and amazing baked pastries. Enjoy a meal or just coffee and a pastry. I loved their green chili burger but it was part of the specials so you may not see it very often.
