Covered Bridge Bakery and BBQ

After a full morning of exploring the covered bridges around Scio, we ate lunch at the Covered Bridge Bakery and BBQ. It's much more than a bakery - they have a full lunch and dinner menu. The patty melt was excellent!

Drive out of our way for the best sticky buns outside my mom’s kitchen. Gigantic proportions, friendly service and homemade food. Worth the trip each time I visit the Salem area.

Our first visit to this restaurant and you can believe the rating they have. I was with a small group and all our meals were superb. Scrambled eggs very fluffy, hash brown potatoes were very very good. Buckwheat pancakes just right. Great bacon and a generous serving. I had corned beef hash, eggs sunny, and it was excellent, big pieces of corned beef and those wonderful potatoes. Prices are reasonable and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We had a chance to speak with Trish, the owner, and I can see why her staff is so good. She hires in her image. If you have not been there, go. You will not be disappointed.

What a find! A mom and pop restaurant ran by people who really know how to cook! And it's a nice country drive to get there. We will be back.

This place was amazing! The food was out of this world, the waitress was so nice I wanted to take her with us, and everything was made in house! If you haven't tried this place, it's a must!! The picture is of the caramel pecan roll French toast I had, yum!!
