Delicious coffee , cocoa is a bit bland but the temperature was perfect. I was really happy with the quick service and the fresh baked goods!

Good traditionally near-college Portland coffeehouse! Interesting baristas, interesting music, college bookstore right across the street, good coffee and tea selection, couch, dark wood, wall art, some food, even has beer :-) Three corners of the intersection are attractive, the fourth cries out for renovation, which lends a bit of "city gritty" to this location.

I was in the neighborhood; meant to drive to Extracto to get coffee beans for home, but since I was already walking by I did drop in and got an espresso to see if I should give these guys a shot as I didn't remember them as really great... The guy pulling the shots got me floored - I think he himself was a bit in awe of what he'd run into, he said that he'd played with the temperature and found one which truly got the a lovely complex flavor out and that really was the case; a great shot it was, espresso to behold - different than Extracto or Stumptown, really rich flavor without dominating presence.
I got the beans.
I love this town...

This intersection(N Killingsworth and Albina) is one of my favorite moving portraits of Portland. The mix of folks here gives one a fairly accurate pulse of who's in the city. Love it.

I get mochas here reasonably often during the school year. Can get pretty busy but the quality remains regardless of how busy they are. Love it

Average coffee but the place has a subtle punk rock feel which I love. Also comfortable couches, and great people watching areas.

Food is fine, location is convenient. The staff really does not seem to care at all about the people who come to the shop though. I felt a definite air of them wanting me to go away and leave them alone. Too bad, really.

Great espresso, cool location, friendly people working. Pretty quiet normally, great place to read but maybe not for a big group of friends.
