My local coffee shop. They are welcoming to the entire community, the coffee is good, and the wait is never too terribly long. The baristas are standoffish at first, but they warm easily if you come in a few times and show em some love. Get an americano, smoothest in Portland, and a cup of their oatmeal. It's heaven. Look out the huge windows and people watch, or do some home work. Whatever. It's all good here.

I've always gotten my coffee to go, since I work just down the street, but I'd love to be able to sit and people watch for a bit. The coffee is always great, and you can tell the baristas really care about the product they put out. It's a little spendy, but I'd rather give them my money than Starbucks.

Will never return. Had a terrible exchange with one of the baristas. They don't really care about you like other coffee shops do in the area. I used to love it for the atmosphere provided but if a staff doesn't care about it's customer deeply there is no reason to return. I am deeply disappointed.

Coffeehouse-Five is better with each visit. This is my go to writing spot. It sits on N Albina and Killingsworth. I call it my little glass coffee shop across from the old Bee Company that shut down in the late 90s or early 2000s(?). Great place to sip warmth, people watch, create. Do me a fave frequent this place before 8 or after noon. I like it to be closer to empty than full. Enjoy!

Nice coffee shop. Drinks are great, pastries a bit lacking - could use bigger/better selection. Maybe it's just me but I always feel not quite cool enough to hang out here. Lol. Has a grunge kinda vibe to it.

Poor service. Asked for a dark roast pour over and was told that since there was only 30 minutes till closing, it could not be done. A pour over could have been done in less than 5 minutes. Nonetheless, ordered a regular roast coffee and the size of the medium cup looked like a mini cup for a three year old. It cost $ 3 but the coffee was not hot and tasted flat. I decided to ask for a reimbursement. I am glad the guy did not give me any hassle. But, the service and coffee needs a facelift.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK!(.)
I went in on December 12, I ordered a iced chai almond milk and it was absolutely disgusting. It taste like straight cinnamon and barely taste like. The lady who was serving me and my girlfriend seemed to have an added to the entire time. She didn’t even tell us our drinks were ready.
Whoever the lady was, was more interested in talking about her show last night to a coworker than actually making the coffee we ordered.
I and my girlfriend ended up throwing away our drinks. I’ll never go back!

I so wanted to like Coffeehouse 5, but over 3 days and 2 tepid and one down right cool cappuccinos I won't be going back. The coffee itself has a great taste...but they need to work on the temperature.

This is my happy place. Incredible atmosphere, the best coffee I’ve ever had, and it’s such a fantastic place to sit and take a breath between moments of your day.

Awesome coffee house across from PCC Cascade. Just the basics. Barista reminded me to say please and thank-you. We all need reminders sometimes and life is so much more pleasant with a little common courtesy, don't you think? (picture of coffee cup goes here) You're welcome (smiley face).
