Black Rock Coffee Bar

Excellent coffee. Great prices and variety. The staff are too sweet.

I really love this Black Rock and specifically the Milwaukie location. The Gladstone is closer, but loved the obvious love put into this one.

However, the last 3 times I've been there, the grounds taste super burnt and no where near the absolute amazing feeling I get, when I partake in that wonderful 1st sip. With that said, that hasnt been the case lately. They either changed their coffee beans or someone in charge has no clue on how to properly brew it. Either way, I'm going to the Gladstone location and hope it resembles somewhat of what I've been expecting.

They do still have great customer service, so I don't want to torch them with a one star. But l would rather go to a grumpy AF place to get my coffee needs, over bubbly staff, but coffee tastes like cat piss...

My friend, Sara, and I made a quick stop to this location in-between her birthday celebrations. The front window girl was extremely friendly and when she learned it was Sara's birthday she said, "birthday girl's don't pay for coffee." She then promptly comped my friend's coffee. That just made Sara's day. Black Rock serves great coffee and even better customer service. Definitely check this location out!

The only reason I’m not giving them a 1 is because I’ve been there before and it was decent. But the last few times have been horrible. Other then the extremely slow service, I received 2 peppermint white mochas that tasted burnt as heck, and didn’t taste anything like a peppermint mocha. Rather then coming back to this location I went to purchase the same drinks from the old 82nd location and what do ya know, the drinks were amazing, line was swift , and they even made your mistake right and gave me my coffees free due to the experience I had with your location.

With that said there are a few people at this location that are amazing and make great coffee. But man, if someone makes poo coffee, toss that mofo on the I-pad and let them take orders, don’t let them burn the damn coffee.

Always fast and always fun. I will say the drinks are consistent and always delicious. It’s not hard to find a black rock and I like that they have a punchcard. My last visit gave me the most amazing drink ever and I didn’t pay a dime. Well except for the tip I left! I highly recommend!

Got a piece of glass in my drink. Could not get a phone number to let them know. Sent an email and no one got back to me.

I was fine, but Black Rock sucks for that.

There are way better coffee shops that have phone numbers and don’t put glass in their drinks.

Honestly, they’re just okay anyway.

Because fuel drinks are good. Try Blue Raspberry & peach. Its green and tastes so dang good.

My favorite local coffee shop! I love blackrock, but the last 3 times I’ve ordered my drink their new guy at the window has gotten my order wrong. (I order a blended black and white, and have been getting the peppermint bark black and white instead). He claimed he did not put any peppermint into my drink, but when I shared it with my partner he also agreed that there was peppermint. Please make sure that new people are making the right coffee orders, I was so bummed when I felt rushed to leave earlier.

i went to a lot of coffee spots while visiting Oregon from Houston Texas, and I must say that this is one of the place that stuck out for me. As with most spot the staff was friendly....but on a whole other level, they made us feel like family or long lost friends during out short interaction! Thank you for the hospitality! I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
