Side Door Cafe & Eden Hall

We just had our wedding at Eden Hall and we cannot say enough good things about the hall, the wait staff, and the food! It was the perfect location for our medium sized destination wedding at the Coast. The food was delicious, the pies were to die for (get the coconut cream for sure), and Brooke was great to work with in designing the day. She helped me work within my budget for the menu and make the day a great success. I had no stressors on my wedding morning, there was plenty of room to get ready, and she even waited to decorate for the Fourth of July holiday just so my wedding photos wouldn't be holiday themed. All my guests remarked how great the staff and food were. Do your wedding here!

This place is an utter gem. Great food (even if your are a vegetarian), wonderful staff (thanks Mark!) and the decor was very well done. Not the cheapest meal, but you get way more than you pay for. Absolutely loved this place and I'll be back for sure!

First time here, and it won't be the last. Excellent food, well prepared, and good portion size. Put this on your restaurant list when you're in town.

We love this place! Great atmosphere, the most friendly and helpful service, and delicious food. What more can you ask for? We liked it so much, we came back two nights in a row. My new favorite spot for dinner. Thank you!

The lamb was very good. The desserts were very inventive. Overall, it was a very nice place to spend Valentine's Day.

This place was a big disappointment! The venue is quite nice and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I gave it 2 stars only because my wife's salmon dinner was at least acceptable.
Mine...horrible! I ordered crabcakes. They were small, over cooked and so salty I couldn't eat them. They came with old tough asparagus, and whipped potatoes that could have been made from a box!
To their credit, they took the entire meal off the check without my asking.
So, try at your own risk.

dinner was absolutely delicious...my only complaint was the young lady at the front reception area. Total attitude and should not be in the industry....everything else was a 10!

My fiancé and I recently traveled down the Oregon coast to celebrate my birthday. We decided to stay in Depoe Bay in hopes of checking out some whales. While there we asked someone for the best restaurant in the area and without hesitation were told "Side Door." We went there for dinner and are sure happy that we did!

The day we were there was cold and rainy, however, Side Door was warm and cozy. We were seated at a lovely table directly in front of a beautifully lit fireplace. We ordered a shrimp salad as an appetizer and were very pleased. It was large enough for us both to share, extremely fresh and delicious. I ordered the rack of lamb which was cooked well, was juicy, and full of flavor. However, the highlight of the experience was my fiancé's meal. He ordered the fresh salmon over dungeness crab risotto. I watched as he took his first bite and a look came over his face that I had never seen before. He LITERALLY got tears in his eyes as he slowly chewed and processed the moment he was having. (sidenote in the five years we have been together this is the first time I have seen him shed a tear) Just looking at his meal I could see it was something special. The salmon was moist and glistening. It was drizzled with a balsamic glaze and beautifully placed on creamy risotto loaded with large pieces of dungeness crab. The meal was perfectly balanced and melted on the tongue. My fiancé said it was hands down the best meal he has ever had.

Given that the meal was so incredible we decided to go back the following night and have the same thing. We were concerned that because the meal had been so incredible the first night it might not live up to expectations the second night. Much to our pleasure, it was just as good the first night as it was the second. This meal was one of the highlights of our Oregon experience and will not be forgotten. It was so good that we will make a point to travel to that area again just to eat at Side Door.
