Great atmosphere and fantastic service! I have been to Marche a few times now and they never disappoint!

Marché is a magnificent dining experience. It is a calm and beautiful restaurant, with food to match. It was recommended to me by a long-term resident of the area, and it did not disappoint. The mussels are divine, and the lamb duo was perfectly plated with the best pesto I've ever enjoyed. My wife enjoyed the wine selection and the French 75 cocktail - "the cherry soaked in liqueur for 10 years is worth the price of the drink itself." We capped it off with some light dessert, and walked away well-fed, relaxed, and determined to return soon.

Exquisite French style restaurant with exceptional service and cocktails

My husband and I went to Marche for our 22nd anniversary reading reviews of how great they are. We were very disappointed. Not only were their wine prices completely unreasonable but our pizzaette and potato pave were both burnt. Anyone looking at eating at a nice restaurant with perfect lighting to set the mood, you can get a fantastic pizza and great wine at Sizzle Pie located downtown. They had great service and wonderful food.

I’ve never had a bad meal here and until last night I’ve only had quick great service!
I would give 5 starts but the woman serving us last night was condescending and rude. I’m always super understanding and it was a little busy, we’re in no rush and our server seemed overwhelmed so we didn’t mind waiting. Where I did have a problem is when she finally had a minute to take our order she continuously made comments about our age while we were trying to order drinks, if I was 21 I would be more understanding but we’re 28 and 30. Nobody was laughing and it was obvious we were uncomfortable with her condescending comments. I will never not tip someone 20% but she certainly did not deserve it, if I get put in her section again I will be asking to move.
A big thanks to the front of house and every other server we have had, they’ve been wonderful!

Lovely dinner tonight for our 19th wedding anniversary. Our first visit here and we enjoyed our cozy booth, delicious food and attentive service. Look forward to going back soon when we actually have room for dessert!

A *lovely* dining experience. Classy (by Eugene standards), but approachable (because it is Eugene, after all).
THE LIGHTING. THE MOOD MUSIC. This atmosphere is worthy of a romantic reunion ... or a dramatic divorce. Usually though, it is spent on cheerful local patrons like me and my family for a fancy local evening out.

- The Food is quality and delicious; best burger in town, even though they're not a burger place.
- The Drinks: delightful, elegant. They seem to sparkle.
- And the service is friendly and knowledgeable. Great for dates or small celebrations.

One thing: (a tiny thing)
The last 2 times I have dined there, my group has been greeted by the hostess with "How can I help you?"

I just... don't like that as a greeting. It makes me wonder if I've done something wrong -- like entered their business during closed hours, or crashed a private event, or like I am bleeding and didn't know -- that I should explain myself and my group's presence here. How can you help me? Where do I begin!!!

HOWEVER, to enter a restaurant in the middle of open business hours I think it's pretty clear what I'm up to. But maybe it's not! Maybe I'm here to eat and drink... or maybe I'm here for an oil change? Maybe I came to get my suit tailored? Would you or your manager be available to talk about my good friend, our lord and savior Jesus Christ?

How many possible different types of inquiries are guests soliciting from this restaurant that they need to greet coming folks with such an open-ended question?! I thought Marche was simply a restaurant, but perhaps they are offering a whole array of services I didn't know about -- a secret menu, if you will!

If there is a secret menu, I want to know about it. (I've been to In-N-Out, I know how it works!) In any case, it was a weird greeting and did not feel welcoming. Once we explained to the hostess that we were only there for the usual eating-and-drinking service, she seemed to find that reasonable and led us to a table in the restaurant where people do that kind of thing. Then she and her greeting lingered as a topic of conversation for a few minutes before we carried on with our wonderful evening.

I will absolutely be returning to Marche for another lovely dining experience. But next time I'm asked how I can be helped, I will say I'm there for an oil change.

This was the best spot in Eugene. In recent times it's gone down hill. From the food quality to the service. The staff have gotten progressively more rude and lazy. The food hasn't been fresh, it hasn't had consistency in the flavor. It's overly fatty or oily. I had some pasta tonight and it was bland, greesy and made my stomach hurt. I paid 75 bucks and I feel ripped off. I won't be coming back. I had very high expectations for marche. At this point nothing at marche separates itself in a good way from any other place in town.

Picked on a whim. Fabulous happy hour. Perfect level of service don't miss!
