Schwietert's Cones & Candy

The wait goes pretty quickly and it is worth the wait. They have a great front porch for sitting and enjoying your ice cream or other treats. Taffy, lots of other candies, fudge made on site. Lots of ice cream choices.

Lots of choices and very roomy for a tourist destination. Ice cream is so good and of course I couldn't leave without a pound of mixed Taffy. Just the smell of this place from the street is enough to make you smile and feel like a kid again!

Fun ice cream and candy shop. Lots of flavors. The waui maui sherbet was delicious!

The girl behind the counter couldn't be bothered to say hello or greet anyone. Just stood there with her mouth full chewing something. Very unprofessional when there are customers in the store.

The smell of waffle cones is so tempting as you pass this place! It really sucks you in. It was very crowded when we came in today to get ice cream and salt water taffy. We couldn’t see the ice cream or flavors because the line to pay for anything in the store is right in front of the ice cream counter. My son got a giant bag of salt water taffy and it’s all old, stale and really hard. So hard that it took off one of my dental crowns and now I have to get it recemented. If you are going to charge pretty expensive prices at least have some fresh salt water taffy. We got a big bag and it’s hard and stale. I don’t like complaining but it’s that bad... 😬the cones were good. Can’t complain about the ice cream. I just expect good salt water taffy when I am visiting my favorite beach town and spend 13.00 on a bag of taffy.

I have lived in Oregon for almost 20 years now and have been to this candy shop quite a bit of times. I used to love it to death and would kick and scream to make sure we stopped in before we left.

Well I just went back a few weeks ago and when I got to the register I was pretty shocked to see the bag of candy I was holding cost almost $20! it honestly was a good amount of taffy but i would have figured $12 maximum. Since I waited in line fore 25 minutes just to pay for it I didn't want to put some back and wait again so I just payed and left.

They also have Ice cream but could find other options down the street.

Friendly staff, great smells from making treats in the store. Never seen so many types of taffy in my life. Great assortment of hand dipped ice cream. Prices are typical for beach location, steep, but to be expected.

Delicious malts and ice cream. The candy selection was large. Service was good and fairly speedy. The nice outdoor patio was a great place to enjoy the cold treats on a hot day. Parking nearby is always tough, expect to walk.

I want to say that the staff at Scweiters is very above and beyond . . I accidentally left my debit card in the machine at Cannon Beach shop and got all the way home to where we lived and found out that it was missing. I called the shop and asked if they had it and sure enough they did thank heavens! The gentleman that answered was patient . Reluctantly I asked if he could mail it if I sent the info and postage , not necessary was said . I cannot say enough or thank him for the customer service, it would have put me through through loops with bank and waiting for a new one . Thank you so much Josh, for going out of your way , for your customer service and the way you sent it with so much detail. Including the fact that the card have been Accidentally charged and a credit had been issued to my account. This meant a whole lot to me! I certainly will come back and buy and recommend the shops to all who go to the coast for a rest .

Fudge and ice cream are absolutely delicious! But the man working the cash register was very unpleasant. The other worker actually working and helped me at the fudge counter was super sweet. But he over charged me for what I purchased and I felt very rushed to get out of there. There was a long line behind me so I just cut my losses.
