Insomnia Coffee Co - Cannon Beach

Ordered an Americano, I based all coffee shops on their espresso...so, ya, this place wins my vote and my $$. Great espresso, yummy Mocha and super friendly people working there!

First, the coffee is amazing. That said, service fell way short of expectations this trip. Not only are hours sporadic (the closed days change often), but opening at 8am is unacceptable for a coffee shop and only serves to create long lines. And I mean long. Budget a 15 minute wait per 3-4 parties in front of you just to place your order. If you're not there at least twenty minutes before opening, kiss a good chunk of your morning goodbye.
Mobile ordering is also a joke. It doesn't turn on till half hour past opening and can be randomly turned off when they get busy, which is always. Sometimes they say it's turned off when it's really on, in which case your order is cancelled without your knowledge and youre left waiting for twenty minutes. Not that it matters, even when it is working your order will be at least twenty minutes late. Make sure they don't double charge you, as happened with me. Mobile ordering was never turned off or cancelled on my end. The baristas response was to snark at me, but when I can see your coworkers grinning in response, I know what's going on.

The inside of their coffee shop's really nice, but coffees were just alright. Pastries were good though.

Only been here twice. Service was extremely slow both times. Coffee is good. It's better in Portland. Perhaps their baristas are more skilled in Portland.

Insomnia Coffee place is 5 star for ambience, coffee and great staff. Loved their coffee and went twice in 3 hours because it was so good. They also have oat or almond milk and low fat milk options and some great baked pastries if someone needs a quick bite.

Holy granola, Insomnia Coffee makes the most delicious biscuit I have ever eaten (and I have eaten many many biscuits)! We stopped in twice on our quick beach trip & every single thing we ordered was delicious! They have great vegan milk options & some really lovely pastries (some vegan some not). Absolutely recommended if you're looking for something quick and delicious!

Ugh! Love the best coffee, but VERY DISAPPOINTED with the inconsistent hours. We came from Idaho to take in our favorite traditions at Cannon Beach. Insomnia has been one of the mainstays when we come visit. This time we are here only for the weekend and had planned to visit our favorite coffee shop. NOPE, we are turned away by the closed sign. Our family assured us that Insomnia was closed Tuesday-Wednesday on their last visit. 😖 Now it's Sunday-Monday. We can't handle this. I guess we have to venture out to a competitor who can support our schedule.

Very cozy, perfect for a coffee shop at the beach. Also loved the random little figures and messages left around the ship.
