Dudley's Bookshop Cafe

Great selection, cozy atmosphere, knowledgeable staff; what more could you want from an independent book shop?

So grateful for this bookstore. I remember when I was younger, a budding librophile, I dreamt of owning something exactly like this. The atmosphere is great, the book selection is on point, the cafe offerings are tasty and well made.

I also appreciate that the owner continues to reinvest in his business. He is there a lot always ready to jump in and offer a hand when things get busy. Having grown up in a small business I recognize how much he cares about his customers and appreciates them.

Also, he retains his employees for a long time and I see them there reading and drinking coffee on their day off. That too says a lot about the kind of boss he is and working environment he creates; it says a lot of good things.

I love supporting Dudley's; having it as a place to meet, study, read, unwind honestly helped me be successful during my college education and now I still go there to do work relating to my job, and of course enjoy a late and a new book!

I will always miss the big table upstairs, and at first I thought he was nuts getting rid of it, but now that I have seen the evolution it made great sense. I personally will always miss it though, lots of good thinking happened for me at that table.

Had a slight eclectic feel for a bookstore selling new books, a pleasant feel. Barista was super friendly and passionate about coffee. Espresso was on the darker side but very well made.

Curated well in both book selections - Love the Local/Western landscape section - and the cafe. I enjoy that coffee is always brewed fresh. Just a sweet escape into words and atmosphere. Great selection of local artists - calendars, art, stickers, postcards, cards - as well. Upstairs... iconic.

Was worried about going into a bookshop/Cafe because we're trying not to go into places with people eating right now. But it wasn't very busy at all, they had a great selection of stickers, cards, and books to choose from. Employee working the counter was very kind, and everything was super clean.
My one critique is that their staircase (whilr beautifully decorated) was rather steep and posed an issue for accessibility.

Flies under the radar, but this place has some seriously good coffee (with no line!). Service is friendly. Upstairs is a beautiful place to read or work.

This has to be one of my favorite spots to relax at in Bend. They are always friendly and have incredible baked goods to snack on. They have a large range of books to browse and buy and continue to make ready drinks!

Cozy and quiet atmosphere. Nice selection of new and used books, plus a great coffee bar (and bottles of beer!). I try and get all my books here now. If they don't have it in store, you can always order online and it's 20% off! Favorite bookstore in the area. I've bought a stupid amount of books from them in the last few months.

A truly wonderful place. The owner, as well as everyone who works there, has a tremendous passion for reading. It especially shows in the custom recommendations on the shelves, and by the mere fact that every employee seems to have a book hiding somewhere.

The coffee is great, it's comfy, and there's a ton more books and space upstairs.
