Love what they’ve done with the old Sparrow Bakery building! This whole area is a hidden gem. The cafe makes their own pastries and sandwiches, which are unique and delightful. Good coffee and a wonderful outdoor seating area. Great way to start the day and be sure to check out the shops in this nook while you’re there!
Cleaned the place up nicely on the inside, looks a lot brighter and cleaner thanks to the light paint and marble. Did take-out, though, so couldn’t really enjoy the ambiance. Unique beverages, we loved the tart elderberry lemonade. And the Oregon roll, man was that tasty! Nice work, folks!
Wow! My chai was delicious and the breakfast sandwich was absolutely delectable! The service was great, with super friendly staff. Café des Chutes is so cute inside and out! We got our food/drinks to go but loved the atmosphere so much that we stayed to enjoy our treats. I highly highly recommend it!!!
Great lattes, great pastries. We go here 1-2 times a week. The B.A.T sandwich is so delicious, a little sweet and savory, it slaps. A good handful of all their pastry are sweet and savory. It’s the best. They get it.
We stop here in the morning before skiing for breakfast and coffee, and grab a baguette sandwich for lunch on the mountain.
The buttery, flaky house-made pistachio croissant was delectable, as was the equally-flaky hazelnut-glazed marionberry jam lightly-filled Oregon Roll. The latter was/is a unique and delicious take on a morning roll and def deserves a spotlight. Actually, both do! These baked goodies were flaky in texture, unique in flavor and though flavorful, there is no one overpowering spice or ingredient...just a lovely blending of complementary goodness. (IMO, their Oregon Roll far outshines the "other" ubiquitous and "famous" CO roll. I would strongly suggest trying this one and judging for yourself.) The coffee was great too...full espresso bar available. I also spied a variety of flaky breakfast croissants in the case and I'm looking forward to trying each of them, as well as their other house made baked goods (yes, there's more!). If you loved and miss Foxtail Bakery, I promise you'll love Cafe des Chutes. They carry GF goodies from Blissful Spoon too, which is thoughtful since good GF pickins are slim around town. Opens at 8, plenty of bistro seating.
We always seek coffee. When it's accompanied by lovely greeting, and tasty French inspired delights, all the better. Take a seat on bentwood chairs at the marble tables or window bench, and be thankful for life.

Some of the best coffee in Bend! They use the same blend as still vibrato. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful environment!

Amazing place. Incredible coffee, amazing pastries and awesome workers. I hate that it closes at 2 though.

Super cozy and cute, the coffee is top tier and brewed with care, and the ham sandwich is to die for.
