Merritt's Bakery Riverside

I ordered 2 brownies with cream cheese icing the brownies were hard and the cream cheese fell off the top. They were not fresh they were frozen and nasty. I also ordered 2 fried cinnamon rolls they were straight out of a package not freshly made the icing on top was thick and white, nasty. I also had donuts not freshly made they were frozen. I as deeply disappointed and won’t use them again I like fresh not frozen or from a box. 10/15/2022

My previous experiences with Merritt’s have been excellent, but the cake we got this time was a big disappointment. They weren’t able to provide a custom cake, which I understand, but we requested a cake with a simple happy birthday message on it instead. It was on a round cake, and the first disappointment was that the writing was not great. But even worse was that they put it in a box and taped the lid closed - when we got it home and opened the box, the writing in the center of the cake was smashed to be unreadable. The taste of this cake was also not up to the usual - it was very dry. I have always been proud of the cakes that I have gotten from here, but definitely not this time. I will be thinking twice about trying again. Such a shame!

Called to place order at 7am and phone line not even working when using prompts so had to go in and order. It took over 10 minutes just to make a sausage egg biscuit. In the past I've never had to wait for more than 4 to 5 mins. I paid but left with nothing bc I had to wait so long and now im late to work. This location is going downhill fast.

Always the best baked goods here. The birthday cake we ordered was delicious as usual. It was also beautiful.

I ordered my mom's 83rd birthday cake from here and it was wonderful. They decorated it beautifully. Absolutely not complaints. The only problem I have is as long as they have been in business, it looks like they could come up with tall enough boxes that would cover the cake.

Giving merits bakery a rating is fairly easy. They are beyond five stars. Their selection and bakery goods are beyond delicious. I even got a couple of dog biscuits for my pups that were in the car. Absolutely amazing, a place to try while in Tulsa
