Merritt's Bakery does an outstanding job of providing the best tasting baked goods. We visit Tulsa several times a year and often trade at Merritts Bakery. We have always gotten the freshest best tasting sweets and desserts and all the decorating jobs done there are masterfully done. We have never had a bad experience here so if you are in the Tulsa area and need some fresh baked and or decorated items please visit Merritts Bakery.

My mother ordered a grooms cake for my brother for his wedding tomorrow at the glass chapel in broken arrow, the cake isn’t fit for the venue! The manager Julie lied on my mother and the owner Larry offered her the money back instead of fixing the cake! We have ordered cakes from here for years and this will be the last! This was the second cake our family purchased from Merrit’s, this week! They must have forgotten that the customers are the reason that they are in business! It’s very unfortunate that they would feel comfortable with anything other than excellence being served on someone’s wedding day!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!! I will not at all ever buy from Merritt's again and will warn all brides to stay away! I have already posted on multiple bridal sites pages on Facebook to not use Merritt's.
We placed our order a month before the wedding and we were promised Buttercream Icing for our wedding cake and so much more! We paid the $50.00 fee that same day!
I went in 10 days before my wedding day JUST LIKE I WAS TOLD TO DO and the people that were helping me told me:
1. We don't do buttercream icing on cakes you need to call tomorrow and talk to our cake lady.
2. We can't see that you paid the $50.00 let me call her
3. I can't give you an exact price of how much this cake will cost. Call or come in tomorrow to pay for it.
10 days before the wedding and they added so much stress to me!!
I called the next day and then was told EXACTLY THIS!
1. I will send you an email of how much everything will cost when your fiance come's in. EMAIL WAS NEVER SENT!!!!!
2. Oh I can't tell you that over the phone.
3. Yes your monogram will go on the side of the cake.
4. I told her that her cake decorator could us bold colors and paint the cake JUST LIKE THE PICTURE I SENT!!! But he could have fun with decorating. LOOK HOW UGLY IT IS!!! The colors mixed and they turned the UGLIEST COLORS
Fiance goes in and pays for it then calls me and tells me the total for the cake was $175.00 WHAT!!! That is not even CLOSE to the price we were told when we went in for our tasting. They charged us an extra $25.00 just to put a Monogram on it!! AND I HAD TO SUPPLY THE RIBBON! ME! On top of it as you can tell by the picture supplied where is the Monogram??? NOT ON THE SIDE!! But on top!!
Multiple complaints were made to me on my wedding day about the cake
1. Icing around the cake was to thick and sure enough it was extremely thick nothing like we tasted when we scheduled our tasting with them
and so much more.
I would apologize for the lengthy comment about this place but as a bride that is trying to help other brides on there SPECIAL DAY! please please PLEASE stay away from Merritt's!! go somewhere were they will not cheat you on price, follow your instructions, and actually make a good, beautiful cake that you wanted.
If the Owner of Merritt's or the Manager at the location would like to contact me PLEASE feel free to call me :) or reach out to me here

My wife and I have fallen into a routine of having a dozen doughnuts delivered to us on Saturday mornings... and they are always awesome. Also there is hardly ever a wait. Beats the lines at KK and Dunkin by a long shot!

I think the pandemic is affecting the quality. The pumpkin muffin was super dry, the cranberry orange had little cranberry and the soft cookies were crunchy. This was not the Merritts I know and love.

We had a cake made for our grandson's 10th birthday. The cake was not what we ordered. We were very specific about the detail. This cake is more than a birthday cake. It is the tradition we do with our grandchildren. They pick the cake and we find the place to make the cake. We dont give them gifts, instead we are making a special memory. When that cake is not what we ordered we expect some. Customer service. We did not expect to hear that some how it was our fault the guy taking the order wrote it down wrong or left something out. We also did not expect for the person in charge to say" if the guy was here I would be in his face" mistakes happen we get that, however there should at least be a sincere apology maybe even some of our money back. When we pay 104.00 for a cake it needs be what we asked for. What we recieved was a Walmart quality cake. Merritt's has never failed us before, we drive 90 miles round trip just for a cake. We are more disappointed in how we were treated, than how bad the cake looked. If you can make displays to market your business, then that is the quality you should give your cuatomers.

Love the prices and love the good sized items, but please, Merritts, PLEASE cook the bacon when someone orders a sandwich with bacon on it. No one wants uncooked bacon. Please.

Why aren’t your pastries labeled? What is everything? Shouldn’t have to ask what every single item is. Just label like everyone else.

Best cakes/desserts in Tulsa. Great service. Everything always tastes so good and looks so pretty. They can be a bit pricey though. My hubby paid $65 for a cake for my bday, I was shocked. It was a simple cake, the only thing "special" was that the whole cake was heart shaped. Was it fabulous? Sure. But was it $65 fabulous? Mmm. Idk about all that. Lol.
