Very overpriced mediocre coffee. I don't need a tutorial on coffee. I don't need to be told how I should drink my coffee. Look for yourself at other negative reviews and see how many other people gave those reviews a thumbs up. Now look at the positive reviews and see how many people gave those a thumbs up. Notice the tone of the owner's responses to anything negative.

I see a lot of one star reviews here, and I think they're giving it a one star for what it isn't, and not reviewing it for what it is. I think people really misunderstand the concept of Troubadour's.
Before you go in and are disappointed by what you find read what I have to say.
Troubadour's is not a family owned Starbucks, nor Duncan Doughnuts, it's barely your average family owned local coffee shop. Troubadour's is a high end coffee roaster / shop that appeals to the connoisseur.
I know that sounds pretentious, but that is what it is. You wont find Decaf coffee here, you wont find chestnut praline frappuccino's, you wont even find medium to dark roast coffee, and the coffee you do get isn't even meant to be served with creme, so don't be surprised if you're met with angst when you ask for it.
Tony (the owner) is the kind of guy to fly out to Guatemala and Columbia, and all those other places and meet with local growers and hand select the bean he brings to the shop. His passion for coffee is matched by none I've seen, and I would argue he's a master at his craft, the Sommelier of coffee.
I went in for a latte, and came out with a bag of beans and an education, and I'm already pretty passionate about coffee. Tony explained to me all the subtle flavours to look for in the beans, and how to prepare them. I have never enjoyed coffee black, ever, and now Tony's is the only coffee I'll drink. I went back to what I thought was a premium bean after a month of going through the beans I got from Tony, and it just doesn't stack up.
So again. If you're looking for a premium coffee experience, where you can sit down and enjoy the subtle undertones of cherry and a chocolaty finish in your coffee, and talk about coffee to people who are passionate about it, Troubadours is the place to be.
If you want a Decaf french roast cup of coffee with almond milk and sugar, there's a Dunkin Doughnuts to your left, and a McDonalds and Get Go to your right.

Update: I come from italy and worked for 11yrs as a barista. There is no such thing as no sugar in order to enjoy the flavor of coffee. Its like serving wine with no food pairing. I take as a suggestion but not a rule, bc its not the proper way to introduce it to the customer. In firenze toscana we don't put cheese on seafood, wild boar and some dishes, so we suggest not forbid the ppl, try to do that here to american customers!!! I have been for 19yrs in the customer service. Just bc you have been here for 1-3-8 yrs u can't tell new customers my way or the highway. Give them suggestions along with options. Coffee is art to be taught as a culture, not a law. I've seen ur comments on the 1-3 star reviews and definitely u are making zero effort to have them back. Everyone can have a 5 star review, the hard part is working hard to keep it. And I wanted a macchiato freddo in case you ever heard about it.
Old post "They only place where u can have cappuccino but no milk or cream on ur coffee. And they have no sugar!! Weird!!! "

Coffee was amazing! Very stuffy, “I’m better then you” barista once I found them was not very inviting. Not a place to get a cup O’Joe. Want to feel belittled and spend 5$ on a cup of coffee that taste wonderful, then this is the place for you.

Pretentious..offers zero cream..insists his coffee should be drunk without it.
Insanely overpriced, and only has one medium body..the rest are all light and watery..I appreciate the art he is presenting, but needs to also adapt to the public..or " average joe" 😅🤣😂

I got a chance to chat with Tony. .. learned quite a bit about coffee quality and flavor. Anyone can drink a cup of coffee here without adding anything to it! Great flavor! It's such a cute little coffee shop with a great feel. :)

I have had many long stays in Florence Italy this coffee is on the same impeccable level of quality & flavor. I am a chef and Italian so I follow the trend, Troubador has no competition. The best ☀️

Amazing place, the owner is very passionate and knowledgeable about coffee. So many stories to share and pictures of the places he gets the coffee from. Absolutely worth a visit. Can't get any fresher than this

Troubadour makes the best iced mocha I've ever had! I try to make it out there at least monthly as a treat for myself. I'm always surprised to see it pretty empty because the coffee is fantastic!
