Quite simply, I can't think of a better place in the Cleveland area to get a cup of coffee. The owner is passionate about his trade, and it shows. All of the coffees are excellent, and roasting is done onsite in small batches. The cappuccinos are my favorite, and I can't recommend the freshly baked banana bread enough!

Love the coffee but my favorite thing about Troubadour are the beans! These are hands down the best, most consistent coffee beans I have ever purchased. Always with delicious, distinctive flavor notes, never burnt or too acidic, like seriously perfect roasts—I get something different every time and years later have never once been let down by a bag. I consider myself SO LUCKY to have this place nearby, thank you!

I’ve been wanting to visit since moving to Cleveland and not sure what’s taken me so long to get here. Best latte I’ve ever had! I purchased beans for my espresso maker at home and it’s the first time someone asked me what kind of machine I had - he had picked beans that would best for that machine!

This place makes the single best cup of coffee I have ever tasted. It makes me wonder what I have been drinking before. Legitimately have drove over an hour from down in Akron just to get coffee here some weekends. I wish I could go more often.

As a roaster myself, I enjoyed the coffee very much. I got the Columbian bean and it was heavenly different but good, I normally don't drink light roasts but it was delightful. The gentleman at the counter was informative and helpful. A beautiful roaster that I envy very much. I'll definitely be coming back weekly

I ordered the iced latte. If you don't offer sugar or flavored syrups so that you can "taste the coffee", I'd like to taste more than milk. The only "flavor" I got was milk, and if you can't imagine that, the latte was almost white.
If you like flavorless coffee served with an attitude, this place is for you!

If you want any kind of sugar or flavoring in your coffee, then this place is not for you. I’ve been to other specialty coffee shops before that really focus on the quality and taste of the coffee and have enjoyed them, but this place just missed the mark for me. The latte I ordered just tasted like hot milk with the absolute slighted hint of espresso. The entire time we were there the music kept cutting out too and I can’t say much for the service. Generally a little “hi, how are you” chat with the barista is enjoyable but not the case here unfortunately. Overall not the inviting, sit down and enjoy a coffee and book vibe I was looking for and the coffee was just lackluster.

According to my son, they have the BEST coffee in Cleveland. I thoroughly enjoyed my cappuccino. Its a small coffee shop on the corner of W214 and Lorain, in Fairview Park, tucked into an office building, but so worth the visit. Front or back entrance with parking in the rear. If you love a good Pour Over, this is The Place to go!

The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable! He will definitely take the time to chat if you have questions about the menu or coffee in general. He’s very passionate about what he does.
Troubadour has the best pour over around. I know some people think this place is expensive, but you’d pay the same for a pour over anywhere else. And the baked goods are cheaper than most others spots. I’m obsessed with the banana cake!
I love that troubadour has a patio option too and it’s never busy or loud. (And I come here frequently)
I love it!! So happy I discovered this coffee shop!

I was here a few years ago and although I ordered a regular black coffee, I did observe the owner giving the same condescending spiel to two different customers that you're seeing him give to unhappy customers in the reviews on here. The things I remember hearing are that their coffee is superior to other coffee shops and that dark roast coffee "burns the beans" (neither of these claims are true btw). Still, I was looking forward to my coffee that day, but was extremely disappointed when I tried it and did not end up finishing even half of it. If you're going to forego cream and sugar at your coffee shop, then the coffee should stand on its own, which it does not here. And don't talk down at your customers and make your employees give the same inaccurate explanations to customers 20 times a day. I saw the owner respond to a comment on here by saying that the coffee is "more like wine than coffee", which is completely absurd on its face. Your coffee is like coffee, but not as good.
