Winans Chocolate + Coffee +Wine

Excellent honey cinnamon breve. Their chocolates can be iffy, but the dark chocolate peanut butter meltaways are always a winner! Staff can be a little erratic on friendliness, but still five star worthy. :)

Such a beautiful coffee shop !!!! Their treats from Sixteen Bricks are amazing also !!!! Nothing like stopping in here half way through my work day !!! Chocolates and Coffee always make it the best !!! Amazing hospitality too!!! Super nice and friendly 🎁

I used to love this place. Lately they have hired a couple of new guys on. It's been them I've interacted with past few times that I've gone in and it's soured my experience. The first time, there was an elderly lady that came in that wanted to sit outside, but the outside area had never been set up which is different from when the other staff work there. Anyway she went out there to set it up by herself and she struggled with the umbrella so I helped her. Staff noticed but did nothing, and there was no one else except for a few seated customers who had already been served there at that point. The second time I walked in there was a really long line of people. There was only one guy helping customers. He told the next customer to wait and that the other guy that was behind the counter wasn't working he was just making himself something to drink before he left. It just comes across as really unprofessional. My third interaction I was actually disappointed because I was hoping that the other staff was there. those two new guys have a habit of not greeting you when you walk in and so then you just stand there awkwardly and silently until they walk over to you and stare at you blankly until you talk at them about what you want to order. The reality is that I can buy overpriced coffee anywhere. I pick places based on internet connection, ambience, and staff, their new stuff have ensured that I won't go back.

Such a lovely and relaxing place that allows us to sit down talk and enjoy the company of eachother in a peaceful environment. The staff is friendly and quick to take care of your needs.

The service here is outstanding. The friendliest baristas I've met. Winans has a good hiring method.

TRY THE TEA. I wish they still sold it. The tangerine one is UNBELIEVABLE. I'm not even a big tea fan, but I get that sometimes in evenings because coffee prevents me from sleeping. It. was. awesome.

Also, this place has a nice patio to work at during warm months, if that's your thing.

I drive for RTA a passenger that rides my bus offered to buy me a cup of coffee we stopped there, the employee there explained everything to me since it was my first time there the coffee he made me was perfect.

Great coffee and chocolate. Other products as well. My favorite doing summer, ice coffee. They have a small patio to enjoy outside, or inside. Make sure you try the PEPPERMINT Mocha during winter time. Now that Spring is coming, new mocha drinks have arrived. Ice or hot with their chocolate choices. Try some. 😁 Now that warmer weather has arrived, try a smoothie.😊

Making an addendum to a previous 5-Star review. This place has been our go to place for a long time. We live downtown and it has been our preferred coffee shop in the city.

We were fortunate enough to have the same excellent barista almost every time we went. She is fantastic and has a great personality and makes a great cup of coffee. Unfortunately, she isn't there anymore. We've experienced two different young ladies the last two times we've gone. I hate to say it, but zero customer service. Almost to the point that we felt like we were bothering them for even being there. It was definitely weird...

I think the lack of customer service reflects in the coffee. The last two times we were there, I had grounds in both of my Highlanders. So disappointed. We went from going multiple times a week to we haven't been there in quite some time.

The old adage about putting your emotions into your food also seems to ring true with coffee. I'm sure we will visit again, it's too convenient not to, but our most recent experiences have been extremely disappointing.
