Stauf's has great coffee, a fun atmosphere, and friendly staff. I walk here often to do work and stay for an extended period of time. While I do really enjoy Stauf's, I would say that there could be some improvements to make the building more accessible. There is limited street parking, which may mean that people would have to walk a farther distance to get to the building. There also are only stairs going into the building, which is not accessible for people in wheelchairs or with other physical disabilities. However, the counter and table heights are low enough and therefore accessible. Overall, I have great experiences at Stauf's and feel very welcomed by the staff every time I go.

This place is just so very well done. The perfect place to catch up with a friend, dive into a book, or crunch some numbers. They have a few board/card games. It can get busy but they have patio seating and the place is big so tables open up somewhat frequently. I only wish they were open till 6pm, or better yet 8? please?!?!

The exterior and interior are definitely a sight that is a pleasant assault on the eyes. I would highly recommend this place just good luck finding a place to park. The renovated church is extremely cool. The way they used the material they had and repurposed some things are extremely cool. Definitely check out.

Newly opened Stauf's Coffee in a renovated/converted church. Really beautiful location with open, bright space inside, a fantastic patio out front, and plenty of stained glass accents and a great layout inside. Stauf's is a classic Columbus coffee roasters, and this location adds charm to their repertoire of great coffee.

There's free WiFi, unisex restrooms (with appropriately glib signage on the door), and comfortable places to sit. Even the old church pews they kept around are great to sit on! It is not exactly library-quiet inside, but it's not meant to be THAT kind of coffee shop. There is a constant hum of cafe white noise, from machines whirring and grinding and frothing to the low din of conversation echoing across the completely open room.

They are not yet serving pour-over coffee (though it's listed on the menu board) but the drip coffee I had today was really good. They have done well to create a distinctly "Stauf's" flavor profile that I expect (and receive!) each time. I believe bulk coffee can be purchased by weight, whole bean, and they have grinders on site. I do not believe they roast on site, but the roasting is local.

My only suggestion would be to create a second "accessories" station (sugar, cream, lids, etc) to the right of the counter area. I noticed people who planned on staying would naturally gravitate that direction as they receive their beverage, but then would have to cut across or behind the long line of customers waiting to order to get to the accoutrements. Also, I was a little disappointed to see they are using plastic straws and stirrers. That might be because they JUST opened yesterday, but it is something I noticed.

The shop was pretty busy when we arrived around 9:30 on a Saturday, and it got much busier while we were there. Additionally, Saturdays during football season will get VERY busy, which we noted a few hours later. The line was all the way outside!

Overall it's a great addition to Victorian Village. It's the perfect kind of coffee shop for that neighborhood, with a mixture of residents and college kids, good weekly and weekend hours, and great coffee.

Stauf's started serving coffee to Columbus in 1988. Columbus' first micro roaster. The beans are roasted by hand. I can't leave without grabbing a bag of Highlander Grog whole beans before leaving. It's my favorite. The coffee, food, and beans are quality. I love the eating area. It's casual and super comfy cozy. It's really easy to get lost in a book or chatting with a friend while enjoying your meal or cup of coffee. Thank you for your presence in the community!

This is my favorite Stauf’s location. It’s a remodeled church and the interior is modern relaxing. Conveniently located by OSU, this is a great study get away or just a fun spot to escape and grab a fresh cup of joe. Check it out!

VIBES FOR DAYS.

Parking wasn’t hard to find but like everywhere dtown, you have to pay.

I think the shop will be great and the reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because I feel like they opened too soon.

Why I think that: I asked for a honey latte and they said they didn’t have honey yet but will soon, so I got a cortado instead and they gave it to me in a togo cup. When I asked why not a ceramic cup they said they didn’t have mugs yet since they just opened last week. Maybe I would be ok with this if they truly just started last week as a coffee shop.... but they have several other well established stores, it just shows where their standards are set.

They also have pour over on the menu but do not yet serve it?

Again I think the location has great potential but just saying... you wouldn’t likely see a company like Fox In The Snow open another location and not have plates yet lol, because their standards are higher than that.

Let’s talk about the coffee later. Does someone really think I would park my dogs there? Where’s the valet parking???

I shared my opinion with someone that works for Stauf’s company, not at any individual coffee shop. I asked him if this is too dangerous for dogs. He responded: “my general reaction would be a shrug”.

A SHRUG???!!!

Anyone owning a dog would know to coordinate everything beforehand. We are moms and dads that are capable of not leaving our kids on the curb. Why don’t we set up a stroller storage section off the side???

If you kindly put a note on your door saying, service animal only, we all will respect it. This is beyond trying hard to reducible yourself.

As a matter of fact, I walk by this everyday and have never seen anyone “parking” their dog there. I wonder if I should give you my keys to my leash to lock my dogs??? Now I wonder what you’d do if they break into my “car”? Where’s the camera for your pup parking lot, Stauf’s?
