Ché

Empanadas were amazing. Cocktails weren't anything crazy, and the bartender didn't seem like he knew how to make half the ones on the menu. But he was super nice and talked to us for a while. Great stop for a beer and some food.

Ché was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life!! The empanadas were hot and juicy and with such a crispy flaky shell- don’t even get me started on the chimichurri sauce. I got the wings as well and they are actually the best wings I’ve ever had!!! The dry rub was PHENOMENAL and the wings were so juicy and tender!!! The service was great and I will DEFINITELY be coming back!

We had a great time for our anniversary! They are obviously popular as they had a steady stream of people coming in to see if there was room. And reservations were booked an hour or more out. The food was pretty good. There were some empanadas that I wouldn't order again, not because they were bad, just "meh." There are others that were AMAZING! (Jerk Chicken and Cuban stand out to me) Also, you MUST get the Brussels Sprouts! Devilled eggs were ok, but I wouldn't get them again. The cocktails, though, were wonderful! We also had pretty decent service, but I noticed that our waitress seated us before the table next to us, took our order first, but they got their food and drinks before us. Maybe because we were hidden away in the window? Who knows. Not that big of a deal, just noticeable. Everyone there was very nice, though, and the food was pretty good! We plan to come back for sure!

The food is absolutely fantastic and unsurprisingly the empanadas are the standout. Every flavor is excellent and the chimichurri works its magic. The cocktails don't disappoint and are very reasonably priced to boot. The space is somewhat cramped but fun and charming.
The only damper was the service, between forgetting orders on four separate occasions to never being checked up on a single time and having an extra drink charged to the bill that wasn't ordered there was some to be desired there but overall it's not enough to take away from a great experience.

The food is good. The staff was friendly, however, our service was not great. Very slow and not intuitive serving. We had to ask for a lot of the things (ex: silverware) that should have been given to us as we sat down, or refills of empty water glasses. I guess a seeming lack of attentiveness in general.

However, I would still recommend giving it a try. Everyone has an off night or a super stoned employee every once in a while. It is a casual place, so go in with that expectation, and you will enjoy.

I usually love the atmosphere and service has been fine at Che in the past. I took friends in from out of town and was excited to share the vibe with them but it was an off night for the service and atmosphere of Che. There wasn't any music playing on the patio which made it awkward. Che closes at 10, we got there at 9 to get a few empanadas and a drink, service already felt checked out! I felt bad because I talked up Che but was disappointed. We couldn't get the server's attention nor were we offered a second drink or refills. They also didn't use basic hospitality or manners, such as greeting us, saying Thank you, Please, etc. Will try again but wanted to share this experience in hopes that the staff will consider the vibe they set for their customers.

Overall, friendly staff who welcomed upon arrival. Easy to get to. On street parking if available. Seating in lower level is a bit dark but clean. Single clean bathroom. The salads were delicious! If you’re looking for a Caribbean jerk, this is not it! The mocktails were a delight! Mushroom and feta that’s empanada were a bit on the salty side but flavorful. The short rib tacos were great! The desserts were small portion appropriate. The apple empanada dessert was warm with the flaky crust on the outside with fresh apples on the inside. It would have been nice to have it with a scoop of ice cream. Overall, would go back!

Exceptional food and services. The Brussels sprouts are amazing. Empanadas are flavourful. We ordered mass take out and the labelling on the empanadas are extremely helpful. Person on the phone was nice and cheerful. Recommend to have online ordering website as calling them is difficult, especially for large orders. Great experience and high value for money.

GLOWING REVIEW: We were seated in the basement, did you even know they had one? At one point we were the only guests down there and our server turned up the tunes per our request (the playlist was lit). The food was delicious, we recommend the bruschetta as an appetizer and our fav empanada was the mushroom and feta. But the best part about this place is definitively the staff. As we left we were graced with well wishes from every staff member we passed. We will be back. Xoxo

Food and service was absolutely amazing! Our server james was very knowledgeable of the menu and extremely polite and pleasant. I will be coming back to ask for his section. And the empanadas were out of this world
