Nervous Dog Coffee Bar, Akron

Never had a bad experience! The employees are all-around excellent. If they don't have something you want, they will custom make almost any drink you want, within reason (a chocolate truffle mint eucalyptus dog frapp just isn't going to happen). If you want a reasonably priced fancy coffee drink go to Nervous Dog and get one. Treat yourself, you deserve it!

The atmosphere is nothing special but the chai is.

I love this coffee shop because it is cozy as well as it being a local establishment. It has a variety of coffees, mochas, and frappes. I actually had a mocha called Bon Fire and it was divine! The service was outstanding and the environment was unpretentious. Just my kind of vibe! I will be back!

Still one of my favorite coffee shops! Great coffee and sooo many teas to choose from. I love that we can take coffee home in bulk. employees are always friendly 💕

Not impressed. Very small and quaint. As long as you want to sit on your neighbor's lap you'll be fine. An indescribable aroma, not a typical coffee house smell. The vegan cookies were hard as rocks and the hot chocolate was just steamed milk.

This is probably my favorite Akron coffee shop. The coffee is great, the baristas seem to love their jobs, and the environment is comfortable to work in for a long time or just stop in for a bit.

The bathroom is shared for the building and is down the hall, which is bizarre, but there's not much you can change about that.

No question is wrong or unwarranted when it comes to what's in the drinks! I personally get excited for the seasonal drink menu! Great place to catch up with friends, have a business meeting, or a study crammed session even. Nice chill welcoming vibes for sure! Not to mention the gigs they offer. Who doesn't appreciate live music!

This is arguably Akron's best coffee establishment. I drive roughly 15 minutes out of my way to get a cup here. I love the coffee - brewed to perfection. The employees are always willing to chat with me for a minute and they are insanely nice. I recommend this place to all my pals. Nervous Dog encompasses the true spirit of Akron. A great place to meet friends, read a book on a cold winter day, or just take your laptop to study.

I do like this place. But if you are unlucky enough to get a barista who cares more about socializing than taking your order, heed my warning. You will not get what you want. I feel like I'm breaking up a gathering just walking to the counter. I have experienced this on numerous occasions.

UPDATE ! Service is so much better, baristas are lovely and warm. Completely changes the experience

I am fortunate to live so close to such a fantastic coffee spot. Fast and friendly service and delicious pastries! The live music is also a great treat when you can catch it, so much talent in Akron.
