Small, local. Reasonably priced good food. Nice folks. I like the eclectic decor. Only gave 4 stars due to having shells in my scrambled eggs and a burnt bagel. They did offer to replace it but I didn't want to wait.

I really wanted to love this place. But it just wasn't a good experience. I don't want to order and pay (and asked to pre-tip) at a kiosk and then be ignored for an entire meal. I had to walk into the kitchen to ask for more water. The customer experience simply has to be better.

Delicious food, great service, pretty cool environment for kids or any person with character šŸ˜šŸ‘šŸ˜œšŸ˜œ. cool staff and music

UPDATE:
Okay, I've been back a few more times, tried a few more things (Pancakes, loaded hash browns, breakfast quesadilla) and have to say it's one of Akron's Best Kept Secrets. Without exception, everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious.

Drawbacks? Only two and I can live with 'em.
1 - Ordering and payment are done at a kiosk rather than with wait staff and no opportunity is presented to leave a tip, so bring CASH. They work hard and deserve it.

2 - Because the ordering is done this way, there are no "tables" as far as the kitchen goes. The first person to place their order gets their order first, the second gets theirs, and so on. A family ordering together would probably be fine, but a group of friends at lunch may find that part of the group is nearly finished with their meal while another part of the group is just getting theirs.

Neither of these are showstoppers for me. If they're too big a problem for you, there are plenty of other places to go, but none (seriously - none.) with the amazing food and generous servings found at AWITPC.

ORIGINAL:
I just visited Walk In The Park Cafe for the first time and will definitely be returning soon. I had what may be one of the best burgers I've ever had. The fries are the 'floppy' variety that aren't usually my favorite, but these turned out to be absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, the prices are reasonable - all in all, it's going to become one of my usual go-to lunch spots.

The pricing doesn't make any sense. Combos are useless, because you still pay for everything a la carte.
Stafff seems nonexistent. Only thing I liked about this place was the atmosphere.

A cool looking place on the inside, decent coffee but where this place absolutely drops the ball is organization. When you walk in, you have no idea where to go. There is no one directing customers where to go, the food, both pickup and dine in take forever according to the customers complaining around me and the ventilation is non existent. You shouldnā€™t have to leave a place smelling like everyoneā€™s breakfast. The staff here seem to be hard working but the lack of any sort of organization for dine in or take out shows. My current to go order was to be ready 22 minutes ago and counting. If they used half the effort improving in organization as they did at decorating the interior this might be a place to return to. After finally receiving my food, it was pretty good. Breakfast sandwich on a bagel, comparable to some of the better diners in the area but nothing that stuck out.

One of the best breakfast experiences I've ever had. Great food, super fair prices and really kind/friendly and accommodating staff. Fun little outdoor patio too, which I really enjoyed. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is a quaint little artsy spot. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Excellent food and good coffee. I and my one daughter had breakfast, good portion sizes, inexpensive very affordable. My daughter had Turkey bacon club and a salad, she loved it. I didn't know this place here, it's a gem and Akron needs more sports like this. Casual and cool(yessss) . Staff was very friendly and courteous. Service is good. Only complaint is it gets a little smoky when they're cooking, they need a very good exhaust fan. All in all it was a good experience and I'll go back. I recommend Walk In The Park for good casual food in great atmosphere.

The workers seem very annoyed that your even there. I was here for door dash and the blonde woman (maybe the manager or owner that stands by the kitchen door) was so rude. My door dash order came out after 30 minutes instead of her handing it to me she just walked past me and placed it on the shelf and didnā€™t say a word. I actually told my boyfriend I wanted to try this place but because of that Iā€™ll never pay to eat here. I donā€™t want to be in an environment where the workers are moody and avoid interaction. I go to bigger cooperations who get busier then this daily and never have to wait 30 minutes for a simple coffee and breakfast food items. Itā€™s not a complicated meal !!

Found this through Google maps. Amazing! Excellent food! So many choices! Eggs were perfect, hash browns were crispy. Coffee was excellent! A quirky funky decor. Worth it just for the decor, but seriously good food and wonderful service, too!
