Recently I was turned on to Boba Tea / Bubble Tea...whichever way you want to call it, so I took a trip to Tap Tea Bar at the Pointe for lunch. I wasn't hungry but I knew my body needed some energy and figured this would be a great spot to try out. Walking in, it was quaint, homey and decorated nicely. The staff assisted me when I tried to figure out how to fill in the order sheet since I had no clue what a few of the "toppings" were all about. I made the choice to go with the cookies & cream frostea (regular size) and asked the kind barista to make it the way she would. It was delicious. I'm still trying to get used to chewing on tapioca balls after I take a drink, but they are incredibly flavorful. I was more than pleased with this beverage...especially for just $6 and change, and I'm looking forward to trying out another one of these from Tap very soon. The staff were polite, cordial and seemed very happy with their role at Tap. That's awesome. Thanks again and I'll be seeing you again soon.

Very good tea and polite workers. It wasn't busy at all. The music was good but could have been turned down a bit in order to maintain a conversation at the table. Very clean inside

My favorite of the locations, as the staff is so smiley and kind! The atmosphere is great and the decorations are always rad. The pumpkin spice milktea is top notch ~

Man this place is great Pascual and I tried it a week or so back WE CAN'T STOP COMING HERE!!!
It's not your mother's tea room you have to come here they have things called poppers their like little gel balls with flavor in them they come in some of the drinks you bite them and they explode with flavor in your mouth.
We get the Frost Tea It's like a milkshake starts with black tea then they mix in all your options and you end up with a milkshake.
I can't even begin to explain how good these are Pascual is from Guatemala and he tells me he wants coffee and I ask coffee then he makes a bitting move with his mouth ( to indicate poppers) and I say OH TAP TEA ROOM and he says ya that's it tea
LOL!
TRY this place there's a couple locations We go to the one at point 14 plaza there's one on Racine dr also.
***** 5 stars all the way around There's only 1 problem if you look at my photo my glass is empty man they go quick.

The boba itself is pretty good. And the popping pearls come in vast varieties.

The drinks are fairly expensive ($7+), considering they offer all of their flavors by powers alone (no fresh fruit). And they tend to overload the drinks with ice & boba/pearls, which decreases the volume allotted for actual tea.

The staff seem to not be efficiently trained on the ins & outs of their products & details. But, it is nice to see companies employing younger candidates. With the right leadership, I could see the staff becoming more knowledgeable & personable.

The milk teas have an off taste to them. I would not recommend these specifically, as I believe this company only has a soy milk option, which ends off being off-putting, both taste-wise & option-wise (especially given the "milk climate" of current times). However, the refresher teas (make sure to get 0-25% sweetness) are quite nice.

The atmosphere is very cute. A good place to chill & relax. Plus, they supply lovely merchandise.

Overall, I would give this place 3 stars. Always room for improvement.

The lady's were really nice to me it was my first time they made me feel really comfortable say and I got to ask you questions I needed the Drink that I made turned out really good the green tea wasn't such a good idea though other than that it's a really good job and I love it I'll make sure to come back again

The service at the pointe location is so good. I prefer to go here than the other location. The different flavors are good and my kids love experimenting with flavors. I always get the thai tea and it's great.

Staff is so friendly and such a cute atmosphere! šŸ˜ weā€™ve tried 3 boba tea places since getting here to visit and theyā€™ve all been awful and itā€™s so nice to finally find one that was AMAZING!! 10/10 recommend and will definitely be our top place when we visit! Thank you staff! ā™„ļø

This used to be my to-go place for a treat, usually 2-3 times per week. But since the beginning of 2023, I think in February I went in per usual, I had $5 and $2 in quarters and got my usual drinkā€¦ it had always been $5, so I grabbed extra change for their tip (bc I always tip at least $2)ā€¦ and when she rang me up it was like $7.75, I just know I had to take what I had for her tip AND dig for more change, I was SO embarrassed and the cashier was obviously like šŸ™„ and then I couldnā€™t tip since I only had cash and changeā€¦ itā€™s really annoying how they donā€™t display the base price anywhere, probably so they can change it whenever they feel like it but now the cost of a SMALL is $9 (including a standard $2 tip) which is insane honestly. Itā€™s the lack of transparency thatā€™s hard for me. That experience couldā€™ve been avoided. Plus itā€™s soured me from Tap, Iā€™d rather just get my boba from Carolina Beach (a large for $7.75ā€¦) better deal, not as many choices but theyā€™re all blended and thatā€™s what I always get anyway ĀÆ\(惄)/ĀÆ I love tap but I probably wonā€™t go there anymore

The ladies at the counter were super sweet, and the white peach tea refresher was tasty~ The peach milk tea on the other hand wasn't as tasty though. The boba and yogurt bubbles are perfectly made, so happy about that!
