I just went to Maven for the first time with my boyfriend and I had the best experience. I am very picky about coffee and I also don’t know a lot about what I like so that makes me an indecisive customer! But, Ashley, the barista took her time to explain the process of what goes into each drink, help me choose what fit my palate, and was EXTREMELY kind, patient and knowledgeable when helping me choose my drink. She even took the extra time to remake me a shot when the first one she did was not as good as it could be for the drink I ordered. She took the time and put in the effort to make a quality drink, it is easy to see that she has a passion for service and coffee. I wouldn’t even call her a “barista” she is far beyond that. Almost like a coffee “mixologist”. Thank you Ashley for the wonderful experience. I will definitely be back.

These folks serve coffee of the highest level. There isn’t any better, anywhere. For pure coffee aficionados/loonies, welcome home. Note: this isn’t a breakfast joint with pastries, etc. It’s more like a wine shop for coffee. Top notch, world-class.

The owners(Nico and his wife) are super sweet and knowledgeable about coffee! They have the greatest Colombian coffee beans!

I rarely leave 5-star reviews - but Maven Coffee is absolutely deserving of such a review. I just went with a standard latte and it would have shined in a coffee mecca like Seattle - let alone in Wilmington, North Carolina. Praises to Nicholas who performed a bitter-less and nutty extraction!

The most classy coffee you'll ever drink! The service here tastes high quality and spectacular! The worker is very kind and explained everything to us, it's such an immersive experience. I highly recommend this place!

Great coffee, unfortunately had to dock some stars because I was told by the girl working there they were open 8 30-4 on a Friday and I go there at 2 pm and they were closed. Pretty frustrating because my wife was eager to try a latte they had and only had her lunch break to try it and was risking being late getting back. Oh well I guess

Just had maven for the first time and wow, it was amazing! The barista is extremely knowledgeable and was able to tailor my coffee to exactly what I like. They have so many specialty beans that are delicious on their own. None of these coffees need syrup or fancy additions, the beans speak for themselves. Really cute space, I’ll definitely be back!

sooo good! the coffee itself has a great flavor, without anything annoying about it. The owner is such a thoughtful and open-minded person, answering all the possible coffee and process-related questions. Definitely stop by and try it! (:

Should have posted a picture of my gorgeous Red Velvet Latte, but I already drank most of it because it was so good :-) SUCH a cool spot! Caleb (hope I'm spelling that right!) is so knowledgeable about the coffee, and he dealt with my 50 questions of how to best store it and (attempt) to make it as good as he does at home. Highly recommend -- this is officially my new favorite coffee spot in Wilmington!
