Blue Surf Café

First time visitor but not the last when we are in Wilmington. Lunch was not just nice, but delectable. Well prepared and cooked just right with lots of taste and texture in the Southern Burger. Highly recommend!!!

I usually enjoy Blue Surf but lunch today, not so much. Went for lunch & ordered meat loaf sandwich, which is my fav. It arrived without all the fixings & when the young lady who delivered the food was told, she did not say anything but “I’ll tell the kitchen”. It took almost an hour to get the fixings brought over. Kitchen staff either doesn’t care or they are just doing a half way job. Very disappointed.

Ate their for lunch on Friday and Breakfast on a Saturday while visiting Wilmington. It is a hidden gem and fabulous food. Go there for breakfast without the typical restaurant wait at other places. The staff is extremely friendly! Their salt and pepper chips with parmesean, cilantro and lime are the best!

SO SO GOOD! The food is amazing and they have gluten free bread!! Real sandwiches on gluten free bread. I had yet to find good deli sandwich on GF. Couldn't be happier. My husband got regular bread and his sandwich was amazing as well.

Went there for a company event, ordered food to take home for my family and they tossed it in the trash with no remorse. Pardon me for networking, I kept the food close and y’all had to toss $80 worth of food in the garbage while I turned my head. Well it looks like I posted to the wrong location I apologize for that but the response is definitely super unprofessional. I did nothing of the sort as you claim below. 3 hours is simply not true. I have the receipt. If you make a mistake you should own up to it. I would have changed it if you’d own up and make it right but now your slamming me for the business’ mistake.

Went on a bike ride and we decided to stop for lunch. Currently on a Vegan diet so there were only a few items that would work. Decided to get the veggie wrap on GF bread and black bean burgers. The veggie sandwich was crazy soggy and fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The spring mix salad did not have much flavor. The burger patties were soft and mushy. Almost like they were just whole black beans held together by mashed black beans and completely unseasoned. We ate about half of what was on our plates. The black bean hummus plate was decent. Overall very disappointing.

We just left having had lunch with you. We ordered the shrimp cocktail-the shrimp had been frozen, they were raw and the cocktail sauce tasted like tomato juice. We also ordered the tuna on ciabatta roll we ordered it rare it came well done, a very small piece of tuna on a dry day old roll. We had a few drinks our total was $80 and this was after a 20% discount after we voiced our concerns - we really would love to see a restaurant do well in this location-we will give this one more try but clients here expect way more than this A beautiful location will not make up for this very mediocre food and lackluster bar staff

If you like pre fab food then this is your place.... my husband ordered the house burger, which are precooked and then warmed when you order, resulting in a burger with no taste and dry. I ordered the brisket special, brisket was overdone and full of gristle, it was the strangest brisket ever. Service was fast and the tea was good. But that's about it....

Great brunch, great service. Hippy hash or hippy grits is the way to go, but it's all great!
