The Farmhouse Mercantile & Coffee Bar

Great hangout spot in downtown Sylva, with ample seating, chic country decor, friendly staff and tasty drinks. We stopped in on the initial 1st day of opening the coffee bar a couple years back, and just found ourselves in the area again recently. The experience is still just as good, but the pricing seems a little high this time. Ex: an 8oz mashmallow mocha was $3.85, and a 12oz weekly special was over $5, even without additions or changes. Price is the only factor preventing this review from being a full 5☆.

Very spacious location with room to chill and relax a bit. We preferred the drip coffee here since it wasn’t as fruity in taste. Smoothies are delicious. Would love to come back and savor more from the wide tea, coffee and smoothie menu.

Amazing tea, I got a cinnamon vanilla Chai tea latte and added honey. I used to get a Starbucks haven't had one in years because they discontinued the drink. I don't drink coffee so this was my drink when I went with friends that do. It's a little wait time, but well worth it 🤗😁 We were on vacation and we went two days in a row.

This is a good place to buy some unique home decor or knick knacks, grab a great cup of coffee or snack and find some place to cozy up or unwind. The customer service here is amazing, the owner, Tammy, values her customers. I just can't say enough good!!

Totally stumbled across this coffee shop, and absolutely loved it. The interior is unlike any other coffee shop I’ve been.

Great coffee house with an amazing atmosphere. The drinks were excellent and the little cubbies provided a bit of privacy while allowing patrons to enjoy the room.

Friendly staff, great smoothies, cozy atmosphere, and such a bonus to have a Christian shopping boutique attached.

This is THE most beautiful coffee shop I've ever had the pleasure of walking into. It is like stepping into a Youtube video. Soft music, incredibly creative decor that fits the heritage of the town, great little nooks to sit with friends in, and of course the coffee is great. I had a regular iced coffee and my daughter had the iced lavender latte with oat milk suggested by another reviewer. Absolutely stunning atmosphere, and great for remote workers with a laptop. I would for real hire these people to do a coffee shop-like theme in my home office if I had the money. If you are driving to Asheville, it's well worth the stop.
