Amazing coffee. But mostly a high end dog food shop. Offers grooming services. Coffee is so good!!

Muttigans does a decent job with our dachshunds. However there has been a lot of staff turnover which doesn’t lead to consistency. I tried to make my next appointment after a recent grooming and I was told call the following week. This supposedly is the manager!?
Also, to me, Muttigans’ prices are going through the roof, but perhaps that is not unique for groomers in this area. $171 for 2 tweenie dachshunds plus a nail trim for a 3rd seems excessive. And of course I feel obliged to tip the groomer 20% since they do work very hard.

They are wonderful with my Mimi. She is a rescue and they understand her needs. The grooming is wonderful and the store with the ice cream is great.

I took my dog Lucy today to get groomed she is a Chesapeake bay retriever/springer spanial mix. She was not very happy going in at first but Lesley was awesome about making her comfortable and getting her settled in! I was very satisfied with everythimg from beginning to end she looks amazing and smells just as good! Very satisfied and will definitely be returning!

Muttigans is a boutique pet store and cafe. You can bring your dog(s) into the store to shop for upscale food brands, treats, leashes, collars, harness, toys, and more. Then, you can get yourself a treat of coffee or ice cream at the counter. This is the second Muttigans store -- the original is in Emerald Isle and is larger with a bit more selection. Owners are very nice folks who treat their dogs like family.

The "Bark Squad" l-r Dreyfus, Bonnie and Eli were professionally, affectionately, lovingly and thoroughly cared for.They were all treated to the" works " Totally affordable prices, after 7 weeks we are making our next appointment now Picture below is right after Bonnie and Dreyfus returned from "Day of Beauty" 2-14-20 at Muttigans. This time Dawn was Team leader with the most pleasant support from Camrie.. Services performed (as i have become gladly accustomed to) was performed expertly and with a heart felt empathy. Dawn went the extra step of providing them each with a "I love NY" bandana and tie, so cool. plus they were very laid back at pick up time, you can tell just by that fact alone that Dawn And Camrie created a great atmosphere to work in. Our Eli has an appointment , Wednesday, so we will travel again to Muttigans, thats our spot now we humans and canines love it so

Been bringing my two small dogs to Muttigans in Swansboro for a year now. At every visit they take such good care of the dogs and cut them exactly as we want. The staff are all so very friendly and make us feel so welcome every time we go. Bonus is we can get coffee and ice cream while we wait for the dogs. Thanks to all the staff there at the new location - you are all truly awesome!!

I would like to highly recommend Muttigans in Swansboro, NC to all the coffee lovers out there. They have the best coffee I ever tasted! It has its own unique flavor- unlike any I have ever had. In combination with the coffee shop, they also have a wide variety of dog supplies and a grooming shop next door. The staff is very friendly and make you feel very welcome. It’s a gem of a coffee shop nestled in the quaint village of Swansboro.

Love these gals! Great atmosphere delicious coffee. They take great care of my dogs in the grooming department. When I took my dogs to a couple other groomers they would not want to get out of the car, wouldn’t voluntarily go into the place, and couldn’t wait to get out of the place. I’m happy to report they don’t behave that way when we go to muttigans. Exactly the opposite reactions. Would highly recommend.

Love the new location of Muttigans. The coffee, dog treats, and service are consistent of the outstanding service of the Emerald Island location. Convenient to downtown Swansboro and highway 24 plus with a drive thru, military members can get high quality coffee on their way to and from work, even while in uniform
