I was in town for a wedding from Atlanta and had never been to this cute little town. When you think about cute little towns, do you think about where people meet up or if there is anything to do? This place is THAT place. Super cute and the coffee is great! Friendly staff and I love how there were so many regulars during my quick stop. They must keep returning for some reason! If I lived here, I would, too!

Good bang for your buck - a 22 oz latte with flavor cost about $5 and it was very tasty! Good cortado too and lovely space

The bathroom here is in rough shape. First the door wouldn’t close fully even after i pushed quite hard. There was a puddle of liquid on the floor by the toilet. And the soap in the dispenser looked like it had been in there so long that it had separated into globs. And the paper towel dispenser was empty.

Great little coffee shop! Nice ambient atmosphere, and the barista was very nice and very accommodating. I had the coffee of the day (can't remember the name) and it was a good cup of coffee. Everything seemed fairly priced as well. Great spot if you need some time to work and a solid cup of coffee!

Very disappointed. Where do I start, no public restrooms which makes no sense for an establishment that serves food to the public. They say they serve Tony's ice cream, out of chocolate wanted to make my shake with vanilla and syrup which ruins Tony's ice cream. Out of strawberry. So finally ordered two butter pecan cones with 2 scoops. Sad excuse for a 4.00 ice cream cone less than half the amount of ice cream I have ever had anywhere. Ordered sweet tea the girl squirted sweet syrup used for flavored coffee in the cup and filled with unsweetened tea. This was my first and last visit.

Well, of course the coffee is good. They roast their own. But it's SO MUCH MORE!

LilyBean's owners have worked hard to create a true hometown business. They are local and they hire local - AND TRAIN THEM! Not just to make complicated coffee drinks, but also to treat customers (even the difficult ones, and I've seen this personally) with kindness, dignity, and compassion.

You want super-fast, corporate sludge - go elsewhere.

You want a fantastic drink and a home-baked snack served with a sincere smile that reaches all the way to the barista's eyes - go to LilyBean.

1st time in. Not familiar with Shelby so when l asked for a coffee shop near me LilyBean came up. Savannah waited on us and she was very friendly and her lattes were excellent! Great place to visit and we'll definitely go back the next time we're in Shelby.

2 years ago I posted a review and I thought now would be a good time to update that.
2 years ago this place was easily a 5 star, now its only a 2 star.
-There is new staff which seems to lack the proper training.

-The qaulity has suffered, not sure if this has to do with roast, extraction, or staff changes.

This is very sad because this used to be my favorite coffee shop in Shelby. I used to go here almost every day spending between $150 and $300 a month here.

I hope that I can update this review back to 5 stars in the future.

Tonight I took my wife, my drink was nasty, pretty sure the barista used sugar free syrup when I didn't ask her to. I didn't notice it until I got home. This was the last straw for me after having other issues recently.

Best coffee ever in terms of both quality of the beans and how the coffee is made; the flavor is spot on! I got their ground beans as a gift to use with my french press and it made wonderfully fresh tasting coffee for days. Their shop is really cute too and very far from corporate. I got the Mexican coffee recently and it was made perfectly and with care. The barista was patient, considered exactly what I had in my mind and delivered something even better! I can't wait to try their cold brews, muffins and CBD honey sticks. I've promised myself to visit LilyBean every time I'm in town, as a treat to myself!

We loved it there. It's a great atmosphere and a place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.
