Their coffee is great. Friendly people and good service. I haven't had the food but it looks great!

First of all the shop is cute and the location is great. The coffee tastes super burnt and the milkshake taste like straight milk. There was a line of people and one barista, I understand being short staffed and stuff but she took her precious time. Maybe if we come back next time it will be better.

I love the white hot chocolate.. there is actually one staff who actually gets it hot like hot chocolate should be... The rest of the staff for some reason don't... But that's ok. I love how I am able to sit and watch my phone and enjoy the day and relax. And I'm very glad at the fact, I can charge my phone and my battery packs up when I'm need to and as long as I need to.. to try to get a full charge on them. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This place is my go to hang out spot to be alone and unwind. Thanks for your service!!

Lily Bean is a great place to hang out. Employees are excellent. Chad has a great staff. They need to better stock the pastry selections. They run out of cinnamon rolls too quickly. They also need to get the wifi working again. As prices continue to rise, I may need to cut back.

Fantastic coffee and espresso choices and excellent customer service. Also very comfortable seating . Honestly can't find any flaws. I'll certainly visit every time when in the area. Keep up the good work!

Coffee was good. Locally owned. Place could use some interior decorating to be a little more in the times.

We came into town Sunday, January 23rd, to look at a house & wanted to try this little coffee shop. We used online ordering so that it would be ready when we got there. When we arrived it wasn't too busy & it was 3 employees working. We were a few minutes after the time it stated it would be ready, but stood there waiting, for the guy working to say he honestly forgot to do the online order. Appreciated his honesty. But he had to turn around to 2 other females who weren't in the making area & ask what was going on. Apparently one of the girl's dad was arrested & some others from their family were getting arrested as well because the police were at their house. Okay, stuff happens but you're at work with paying customers waiting.

We ordered two cold drinks, Signature Iced Coffee & an iced Mexican Coffee. My husband's Mexican Coffee was handed to him hot, not iced & my Signature drink was more like milk with a splash of coffee, instead of coffee with a splash of milk. My husband enjoyed his though it was hot, but I couldn't handle drinking half & half as there was really no coffee taste. I'm sure this was a bad day given the other reviews, but if we're back in the area this won't be our stop for coffee. Gave it 2 stars because it was a cute little coffee shop & online ordering is convenient, when it's not forgotten about.

Really good coffee and ice cream with a calm relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back whenever going through Shelby!

I use to visit this place a lot, one-two years ago, but as time went on the business became worse to me (drinks made wrong, bad balance of milk and coffee, a lack of welcoming customer service, and problems stemming from poor training of new hires, who continually made my orders wrong, weeks and weeks after their training period.) quality of the store overall has increasingly dropped more, and the atmosphere of the area has personally started to lose the comfortably nature it had when I first arrived, I won’t say it’s all bad, a lot to improve on, especially with building and cleaning, but you could still possibly find you new favorite spot to work on projects and relax, depending on when you go and who is there to make your order.

But…

My latest experience a Barista there was casually talking to a friend at a table, as I haven’t been there in a while, and just had a long trip coming back through unfamiliar areas in cherryville, I seen no problems with this, and excused myself to the bathroom as soon as I walked in, before stopping by the store, I had already had coffee earlier from lily bean (midtown), so I didn’t have a taste for coffee. I wanted to simply stop somewhere I knew and seen as friendly and welcoming, but I was unaware of the change to the bathroom policy to the Public, (that I have to buy something first, which isn’t an problem for me, but as someone who use to go there daily about a year ago, I was unaware of that being a rule, didn’t see the “sign” I was told about outside, and have yet to see anyone else stopped.) The barista stopped me, after I exited and politely started to leave, (which I would have preferred if I was stopped before I entered). They gave me a wide eye that made me uncomfortable and said that, “the bathroom was for paying customers only”, in a tone that felt alien compared to all of the previous experiences I had with the workers and environment before. This wouldn’t be a big problem to me if it was not said in a way that felt belittling as if I was broke and purposely trying to break a rule. when I was going there daily, for the two years I went, I enjoyed going there, and never had that problem, but to be blindsided by that kind of energy left me in awe, Truly sad to say that I now choose to avoid the uptown lily bean…

I was passing through town while on vacation and decided to make a quick coffee stop. I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere was so cool and relaxed, and my barista, Savannah, was friendly and efficient. She made me a honey lavender latte! I can’t get that at a big chain coffee shop! I would recommend LilyBean to anyone.
