Books and Beans

I really love Books and Beans, not just because my mama owns it. Everything is delicious, especially the Hemingway sandwich and the Iced Taro latte. My favorite thing about Books and Beans is the books. It is an amazing place to go read! Also, there is ice cream! I really think that coming to Books and Beans will be an experience of a life time. ❤️

It's a great little place in a cool little area. We also got to talk with the owner, and NY Times Bestselling author, Etaf Rum. She was the reason for the visit and she's very gracious and humble in person.

This place is a treat and I will definitely make the hour drive out to this place and the area in general again.

Had coffee one day, and breakfast and coffee the next, while staying at River & Twine. Great food and drinks. Lovely family that own the place. Lots of outdoor seating. Will be back on our next visit to Rocky Mount.

Tasty sandwiches but they need to vent their oven better. There was a periodic hot oven smell/smoke while we were there.

Books and Beans has such a relaxing atmosphere. Their coffee is great and the breakfast sandwich is the best! You can tell that they make everything with such care, which always makes for a great experience!

Best breakfast sandwich in Rocky Mount. The waffles are also so good... pretty sweet but the perfect size. A real gem, glad y’all are here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! Etaf and Brandon did such an amazing job w/ the menu and the atmosphere! When you come here you’ll feel like you’re in BOOK heaven!! Recommend this place to ALL the Book and coffee lovers out there!

I stopped here in passing, hangry and tired. The other restaurants were packed, closed, or expensive, so I searched for a different option for a simple lunch. I found this little shop and had a glorified grilled cheese sandwich, which was delicious. The decor is adorable as well.
