My friend and myself came here for the first time, looking to try a new place in the area. It is right next to the dog park so we were able to scoop out the local dogs. We were excited that this place offered FREE parking, since most places in Raleigh do not offer free parking.

The interior is very modern and has a nice spin with the decor. This is a great place to study or do work. Wifi is offered. They have a large section of seating outside (go around back). The employees were very friendly and make you feel welcomed and comfortable.

I ordered "The Stacey" which reminded me of a snickerdoodle. It was lovely. It was reasonable priced as well.

I highly recommended trying this place out and plan on staying awhile. I will be returning in the future.

Interestingly delicious coffee flavors. Left is Show Me The Honey. Right is Peachy Cheeks with a splash of lemonade. Definitely recommend Peachy Cheeks for a hot summer day. Friendly staff who all were wearing masks. My pup was offered a milkbone which is a definite plus. Indoor seating is closed, but there are shaded outdoor tables to enjoy your coffee and treats. Thanks The Optimist for serving refreshing sips safely!

Met a coworker here for a working session since it’s been ages since any of us have seen one another! The staff was so kind and helpful and my cold brew and pastry were yummy. I look forward to trying more items on the menu. Plus, fast WiFi!!

couldn’t wait till i got home, literally writing this from my seat.
wonderfully delightful matcha latte and the breakfast club sandwich is the best thing i’ve eaten for breakfast recently. 🍵

My husband went to get me a sandwich, this is what I opened when he came home. It was completely burnt. Not sure who would actually serve this to their customers. Very disappointed.

I've met three first dates for coffee at The Optomist. Sounds like the start of a corny Rodney Dangerfield joke. Dog friendly and a nice crowd with good coffee, food and atmosphere at reasonable prices.

Good coffee, no seating inside coffee was given without plates. Inside hipsters are playing board games, no room for paying customers.

By far the best matcha in town! Great atmosphere, kind staff - it’s a family favorite for sure.

Plants, delightful combinations of flavor, and plenty of outdoor seating - what’s not to love?
