Home of one of the best chai lattes I've ever had. We were greeted well and had questions answered thoroughly by the staff. Atmosphere was a typical cafe experience however I did notice that the Staff communicated well with one another and seemed to enjoy working there.

Best drip-coffee downtown. A cup here wakes you up with a warm, refined finese and rich flavor notes that inspire deep, poetic thought as you sip through at Saturday morning speed overlooking the quiet sidewalks of City Market at sunrise. If you're a coffee purist, this understated spot will easily become your go-to.

My mom and I got a London Fog tea and a chai latte. They were both amazing, and the croissant was great as well!

Stopped by for a quick coffee before meeting with friends. Got coffee with spoilt cream :/ Didn't even bother drinking it.

Other than people outside spewing hate (not associated with the cafe FYI), inside is always nice. The coffee choices are great. And the people are wonderful.

I was visiting Raleigh for just a few days and had intended to visit a bunch of different coffee shops, but I kept coming back here! Delicious drinks, friendly staff, and a wonderful environment. If I lived in Raleigh I'd definitely be a regular.

My wife and I LOVE this coffee shop. It is always so peaceful and the coffee is great. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

beautiful cafe, excellent tea, lots of selections. we had the hibiscus mojito tea and an IPA, then a chai tea and another mojito cuz it was so good. spent two and a half hours here reading, the staff were friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. could have stayed here all day

This is my FAVORITE coffee shop! I'm not a fan of Starbucks and their prices for overrated coffee beverages. 42 is literally 100 times better than any coffee shop I've been to in the triangle. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I drive 10 minutes out of my way some morning on the way to work just to come get a Chai latte from 42. When I say their hot Chai lattes are the best I've ever had, I'm not joking. When I got to work after stopping by 42, I let 3 different coworkers taste my latte and they were stunned at how amazing it tasted! Now when I stop by in the mornings, the barista knows my size and drink and starts making it right away. I love the feel of this place and don't mind going out of my way to get the best beverages! And the prices are cheaper than Starbucks. I'd much rather support a local shop, especially when the quality is better by far and it's less expensive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
