Quaint adorable space in Pinehurst village. Breakfast sandwich delicious, drip coffee not so much. I’m not a coffee connoisseur but this coffee was very poorly tasting that I had to dump it out.

New Manager, Shaq is THE BEST!!! I quit going to Agora for a long time before because the service, staff, management was soooooo bad! Now that Shaq is manager, things have really turned around!! Thank YOU, Shaq for giving me back one of my favorite places!

Went to Agora with family that visited. Family members ordered coffee and pastries. They enjoyed their coffee and pastries.
Wife and I ordered macarons and unfortunately the woman at the counter was having trouble with the tech to place the order and she ordered the wrong type of macaron for us.
I also ordered a sprite as I don’t drink coffee. I was given a dirty glass and only noticed after I had poured my sprite. Luckily I was given a replacement soda but I did not ask for another glass.
It seemed like there were too many people running around behind the counter and maybe that added to the issues we saw today.
Food was good, coffee was good. Atmosphere was nice. But details matter.

Came here just a few weeks before we moved and oh how I wish I visited sooner! Such a beautiful cafe. I had a vanilla latte and pastry and they were both amazing! Do yourself a favor and skip the Starbucks- this is the place to go!

We walked in after noticing the tables outside on the patio. What a surprise to find a lovely bakery/lunch cafe spot in a light-filled previous bank building. We ordered lunch at the counter, but were unable to get a glass of wine because the staff (2) were unable to operate the “system” which they said only the manager could do. However, the manager was busy for 20 minutes talking to a couple in the restaurant, so we just went with water and tea, no wine.
My husband ordered unsweetened ice tea with lemon. It arrived sweetened with no lemon. I went back to the counter and asked for unsweetened tea with lemon and the response from the staff person was “but it said sweet!!” And then turned on her heel. When she came back with tea, there was no lemon. I asked again for the third time for a lemon. The staff person said she would have to go to the back and then waited. I said that would be wonderful. After a heavy eye roll, the staff member went to the back to get lemon slices. I thanked her for the lemon slices and she turned away with no acknowledgement. I hesitated, then called her back to say I just wanted her to know that we had asked for lemon three times. She only responded with another eye roll, so I told her that that I thought she had been rude. Again, no response, no apology, no nothing. End of that story.
The good news was the food was delicious! Especially the sourdough bread on the turkey club. The chocolate chip banana bread was equally satisfying, especially if you are a “chunky monkey” lover. Pure heaven.
I hope to receive a response from the manager from this review. I would like to return to Agora because the food was so good. I would also like to know that my feedback regarding staff capabilities and customer service have been heard and will be addressed. I realize everyone is having trouble getting help, but in my opinion, that doesn’t mean as customers we have to tolerate rude behavior.
Response to owner reply:

This morning, my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Agora in Pinehurst. We brought our puppy along knowing he was welcome to accompany us while we sat on their dog friendly brick terrace. Previously, it had been raining. The wonderful staff greeted us, Sandi and Joel! They were so sweet and welcoming. Sandi dried off our table and chairs so that we could enjoy our wonderful breakfast. My husband had a latte and biscuit and jam. I had avocado toast and juice. Just delicious! The staff came out to check on his which included our puppy Buster. I cannot say enough about this wonderful gem in Pinehurst! All I can say is keep up the great work and we will be back!!!!

The London Fog macron was definitely worth the calories!
