Meeple's Brew is a wonderful place to get tea and small bites to eat. They have non-dairy milk options for their drinks. The space has great outdoor seating with two heaters available for chilly days. They are LGBTQ+ friendly. Their board game selection is awesome and you can even rent the board games to play with friends while you enjoy your drink. I highly recommend this place!

This is a great café! The coffee is brewed to perfection, the food is delicious, and the board game selection is vast. They have a lot of local art, too! Definitely check it out.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, both in the kitchen and with the board games! Make sure to ask Tyler for assistance with the games. He's the coolest!
Best vegetarian sandwich, excellent waffles, and the seasonal drinks are amazing! Definitely recommend the turmeric latte and the pumpkin spice latte with actual pumpkin in it!

They rolled a 17. It's a hit! You have no doubt that you're walking into a game-themed (and game friendly) cafe when you wander into Meeple's. If the name didn't tip you off there's no way that you can miss the giant wall of games to pick up and share with a friend, and the geeky decorations everywhere really set the tone. But how's the coffee you say? Tasty. Delicious. My go-to standard Iced Vanilla Latte did no disappoint, being rich and roasty and not at all drowned out in sweetness. Also I got to give it to their Breakfast Slamwich which sort of dual-classes the magic of a "chicken and waffle" meal with a breakfast sandwich. It was devoured only all too quickly and I will look forward to going back for more.
Biggest concerns? I wish they had more space. If you're playing it cautious during these pandemic times you'll find the seating close together (possibly scary with all the yapping and shouting a good competitive game can bring) -- but they can't really help the size of their lot. There's some nice seating outdoor thankfully, and the more than decent coffee and grub are worth coming back for.

I’ve been here several time for coffee and board games. The staff here is very attentive and helped me choose new games and explain the instructions. There is a small $5 per person fee that you need to pay in order to play the games on the shelves but they do have a great selection of games that are in like new condition. There is a shelf that has free games, but they tend to be a bit less interesting.

Awesome coffee shop with friendly staff and good food and coffee. I love that they have plenty of seating and it was a great spot for working remotely. They have a cool atmosphere because people come in to play the boardgames and it was fun to watch people come in to play!

I love to support local coffee shops and hopefully find new ones to add to my favorites list. We live in Durham and have an abundance of excellent coffee shops with locally roasted beans. So when we found ourselves in Morrisville/Cary furniture shopping yesterday, I searched Google and found Meeple's nearby with excellent reviews. I didn't realize this was the board game coffee shop I've heard about until I walked in. I think that explains the high reviews and popularity, not necessarily the coffee. I'll admit, the board game aspect is pretty cool.
The reason why I give this 2 stars is because 1.) The coffee is waaaaay more expensive than any other coffee shop in the Triangle; 2.) The espresso roast is a bit burnt tasting like Starbucks, but not terrible; and 3.) The service is incredibly slow.
I ordered an iced lavender latte with oat milk. This drink cost me $7+ before tip. FOR A 16 OUNCE DRINK!!! The day before I paid $6 for the best tasting oat milk mocha I've had at a local coffee shop and it was a 24 oz drink (New World Café in Raleigh). So the quality does not add up to the extravagant cost of the espresso drinks at Meeple's when compared to the dozens of other local coffee shops we've visited in the Triangle and the many others during our travels across the U.S. Those are airport prices! The drink was decent, not the best lavender latte I've had (Cloche Coffee in Durham earned that title locally, The Well Coffee Shop in Boston earns the top honor), so I'll admit that I did like it for the most part, but it wasn't worth the price tag.
The roast wasn't my favorite. It had a bit of a burnt taste like Starbucks is notoriously known for. Because I had a lavender latte, it was more subtle, but I could definitely still tell it was over-roasted in the aftertaste. My husband tasted it and wasn't a fan of the espresso, even though his favorite drink is a lavender latte. He only took one sip and said that was enough. Maybe we're just coffee snobs since we're the type who pays $25/lb for 100% Kona coffee beans and have them shipped to us regularly. I expect the price to match the quality.
The service was also really slow. It took 10 mins to get my iced latte to go. During that time, the girl only made 1 latte and one cup of tea for a couple dining in. Other coffee shops would have churned out 10+ cups in the same amount of time. The place was busy with people playing games, but not ordering coffee drinks. Only 2 other customers came in during those 10 mins I waited and they got their coffees pretty quickly since they were cold brew coffees that didn't require the espresso machine. So it wasn't like they were that busy or backed up with orders. There was literally only one before mine, one of those items just a cup of tea that doesn't require much effort to make. They had 3 employees working, but apparently only this one girl could make an espresso drink while the others did busy work.
The concept is unique and interesting, but I won't be returning. The price tag did not justify the quality, or lack thereof, of the small-ish latte. I think what you're really paying for is the experience, not the product.

Cute little shop to lose time in. The food looks better than it tastes but the point is spending time gaming with friends. They have free wifi and regularly host cute fun events like board game nights or trivia nights. Definitely worth checking out, but it’s a little far away to be a regular spot for us.

I love the food and drinks at this place so much. The games are cool too but usually we don’t spend as much time here as others do. The tiramisu latte I had was incredible. The waffle I got tasted really good. The only problem was the wait time: we waited for probably close to half an hour for our food. We went at peak time, though, so it’s understandable. I love the little things they sell on the side as well!

Meeple's Brew is fantastic. Everytime we go we have a great time. The food and drinks are delicious and the owner and staff are always very friendly and helpful with making choices on new drinks or games.
It's a great place to meet up with some friends and spend some time together away from the house
