Duck Donuts

Best donuts I've ever eaten. Highly addictive. I heard a franchise was opening up in the Cleveland area (home), very stoked about that. Something about custom ordered warm donuts, good thing we we're very active in the OBX to compensate! Waiting time was reasonable, about 10 minutes - well worth the wait. Went to both Duck and Southern Shores stores and the quality was identical, hope they have the formulae down so the Cleveland franchise replicates this.

The donuts might have been delicious. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to find out.

I rented a VRBO a couple of blocks away, excited to be able to walk over for breakfast. I checked the menu in advance and confirmed they sold breakfast sandwiches so I'd be able to get my kids a "real" breakfast before ending with donuts.

I showed up with my family one quiet Friday morning and ordered six breakfast sandwiches. We were told they "couldn't" make breakfast sandwiches because there were "only" two of them there and two customers had walked in AFTER us wanting donuts.

I still don't understand the logic.

They said they'd be willing to make our sandwiches after serving the other customers (remember, we were there first) but couldn't offer a time on when that might be. After I pressed them "are we talking 5 minutes? 15? an hour?" they said "it won't be an hour".

We considered that unreasonable and left, instead having a delicious breakfast at Art's Place down the road.

Small store with a great little atmosphere. The donuts tasted delicious, however, they were so heavy. I felt bloated after my first bite. Not a great feeling when you're about to spend the day in a bikini. It was nice to try once, but I don't think I'd have it again

Duck donuts was a nice treat for my group after lunch one day. The donuts were delicious with a variety of flavors. However there is a little wait as they make the donuts fresh in front of you. Other than that the trip was a success! I would definitely recommend!

I'm not typically a fan of cake type donuts, but these were really good. The glaze is great. My family didn't like the bacon on top types, but apparently that is popular here. Really don't know what else to say, it's a donut place, and of course they are way better warm.

Donuts were pricey, but the staff was nice. The coffee wasn't great. Tasted watered down. The store felt cluttered with branding. The donuts are different than most. They're great if you like them, but they taste greasier than most.

Really great place with a variety of different bagels to choose from. You build off of a donut template and then choose topping to add from there. They have popular choices laid out too. You can get sausage egg and cheese donuts there too. I would recommend getting the maple bacon one as the base and sausage egg and cheese on that.

The donuts are great... only wish they had more selections for toppings.

The best donuts in Outer banks. Made fresh each day. So wonderful. In off season. Check the operating hours. Don't wait late in the day to get your goodies, most stores are open 1/2 days or are closed all together during off season.

First of all, the lady who took my order was very nice. It was my first time visit the duck dounuts and she explained about their menu and gave me good suggestions. Donut dough was very fluffy almost feels like a cake. Donuts were not too heavy which was good as well.
