Port City Java

I used to love this place but now they’re never open when they say they are. It’s a waste of time to drive to and then they aren’t even open when their website and everything says they are.

Great place for coffee and cheaper than other coffee shops.

Quiet vibe, but nothing special. Doesn’t feel like the indie coffee shop feel they were going for. Beans are roasted elsewhere and already brewed—you won’t find pour over or exotic roasts if that’s what you’re looking for.

Horrible waiting time, 18 minutes with 1 car
ahead of me and the order wasn’t correct. Won’t be back.

Most businesses want people to buy their product but I feel like they are super mad I came here at all. I would suggest going a little further down the road to the Porters Neck location, they have great customer service, always get my order right and are fast.

My friend ordered a London Fog Freeze and she hated it… said it was gross! She barely drank any of it so she tried to switch it out with another drink but was forced to pay for a new one… pretty trash customer service especially when the drinks are like $7+ ! AND they didn’t even offer to warm our pastries! What the heck even is that ?!

Worse port city Java I’ve ever been through. Been here multiple times since I don’t like to judge the first time I go somewhere and every time they mess up my order and I wait over 30 minutes for an iced coffee. Highly suggest going somewhere else if you want a correct order and don’t have time to wait over 30 min for a coffee

Coffee is delicious! Ordered the red eye and a bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. Nice kick in the cream cheese.

Just relocotating to the area, we decided to try Port City Java as opposed to driving the additional 20 minutes to that big chain coffee establishment. We are so glad we did! This location is fantastic!!! Not nearly as chaotic and noisy. Coffee is very good with a much better selection than the competitors. Fresh made pastries and cookies. The Mediterranean egg wrap is outstanding! To top all that off is the fantastic service you get! This is our go to spot from now on!!!

Very disappointed in the customer service today. I religiously get coffee almost every single day from PCJ. I haven't been the Hampstead location in a few months since live in Porters Neck (my spot). Today my order BURNED my mouth!!! I am thankful to not have taken a swig then I know I would have needed some attention medically! Courteously called to inform them what happened so it did not happen to another person, the girl who answered GIGGLED and LAUGHED about the situation and had no care about my concern! I am appalled she didn't take me seriously, I grew up in this area and had gone to PCJ in Hampstead since 2007. The fact I even have to write this is frustrating! Please take peoples concerns seriously, teach the young girls that are employed at this location to have better customer service!
