Have an inflammatory bowel disease and the wide range of olive oils and balsamic vinegars help me to stay on my diet with flavorful food.

I absolutely love this quaint little coffee shop that has come to Gastonia. Coffee is not the only thing they sell. They have imported olive oils with a variety of vinegars. They have a wide variety of spices, coffee, tea as well as other little things. It’s a great gift shop to buy something for your friends and loved ones. Jess who is the barista is very kind and knowledgeable about flavors. She also is the baker of all the baked goods that they sell and they are fantastic!! I love taking my time looking at all the little things the shop has to offer. You’ve gotta stop in to check them out. I truly hope they stay open. They made Gastonia a better place to live. Come support local business!

Super friendly staff, inviting atmosphere. What a beautiful little gem with an amazing sense of community. Delicious house roasted coffee and tasty baked goods, board games available to play while sipping with friends. Lots of local handmade treasures. Also features an amazing loose leaf tea table and a spice wall that I can’t wait to explore!
Yesterday was my first visit and today I’m bringing my daughter along. I have a feeling I will be visiting quite often!

Gilmore's Mercantile is my favorite new coffee place! The staff is friendly, the coffee is tasty, and the environment is cozy. There is a kids corner with books and blocks and several tables and booths and armchairs to get comfortable in. They roast their own coffee varieties - over 15 that I saw this morning. We have started buying our homebrew here and love it. They also have lots of cute country store type of items, like toys and candies. Other specialties include teas, fresh spices, and more than a few varieties of specialty cooking oils and vinegars. What a special place!

This is just the COOLEST store and I am so grateful that they've chosen Gastonia. The candy counter is amazing, old timey fixtures and all. So looking forward to bringing my daughter and my friends with kids here! Also, the oils and spice selection is superb. The owner Rachel was so gracious while helping me fill up two bottles of very unique oils. There is a coffee bar and ample comfortable seating, you could easily spend a day playing cards or reading a book or even go on a date! Also, their Baker supplied our baby shower with some of the most BEAUTIFUL and delicious gluten and dairy free sugar cookies.

This store is a winner. Must see!

Purchased a half pound bag of their darkest roast coffee — which they roast in house!! — because after my free sample of it in the shop I couldn’t walk away. It was so smooth it’s almost sweet, even taking it black. These guys know their coffee.
They also have an incredible selection of infused olive oils and flavored vinaigrettes, a really nice array of teas and spices, just a really good one-stop shop for the kitchen staples at really affordable prices. Will be returning for another bag of the coffee, and more besides!
