Gaston Pour House: Drinks, Food, Coffee & Lounge

Terrible attitude from the bartender. We just wanted two coffees to go and were talked to with a condescending tone from the girl with the shaved head. The places aesthetic is nice, but the service is horrid. Thanks for the half filled cup of overpriced coffee.

Nice atmosphere. Good food. Lazy service. Goat cheese salad and grilled cheese were both delish. Salad came on a weird metal flat pizza plate with paper on it under the salad and none of the greens were cut. We got only a butter knife to cut it- but the paper ripped when you tried to cut the salad greens so there was paper cut up in the salad. A bit of an ordeal but delicious. Bar stools and chairs were wobbly all felt like they were going to collapse. Food was inexpensive and delicious. Fun couches and pool table. 2 of the 3 workers didn’t have masks on 12/12/20. You’re supposed to Go up to the bar to order- we waited there at the “order” cash register as the only non served customers for probably 5-10 minutes (and yes we asked for help) while the bartender washed cups 1 foot away and complained about how she was supposed to be gone already but continued to serve other people. All the while the other employee without a mask tried to work a coffee machine and make small talk. Weird vibes TBH. All around High risk, *potential* high reward. Also high risk for no mask zone if you’re into that.

So hit or miss. Some of the regulars are a bit rude to non-regulars. However, bartenders are fabulous. Jukebox would be preferred over open mic night.

Amazing cocktails!
I tried the Bacon Fat Washed Bourbon cocktail (Hogwash) as well as the Mezcal Blackberry(Black Beauty) this evening. Service was fabulous and the cocktails were hand crafted to perfection! So unique

Just tried out Gaston pour house today and it was so good. Great beer and wine selection. Had the humus and pimento cheese app with carrots, cucumbers and toasted pita. Very generous portions, would definitely order again. The GM Taylor was so friendly and greeted me upon entry. She showed me around and gave me suggestions on beers and wine. I highly recommend!!

Really small. Not too much happening. If you're looking for a place to just drink and play a game of pool, it would suffice. Only 1 employee in the whole place, bless his heart. I wasn't impressed but gave it a 3 star rating because the employee at the bar went way above and beyond although he was working alone.

The white chocolate espresso martini by Rachel is a revelation.

Solid ambiance and drink options but the night food menu is lacking. The Chicken Florentine flatbread was basically spinach dip on a large cracker with a quarter inch thick tomato slice on it.
There are only a few options on the menu yet they were out of items. Mediocre at best.

We hadn't stopped by in a while and it was nice to reconnect with Chelsea and Michael. Enjoyed a beer with my husband and a new friend. We were a bit late so we missed the music but heard it was good. Will be planning a visit with friends to stop in on a Saturday morning for brunch in a few weeks. Will repost after that.

Used to really like this place when it was zoes so wife and I walked in here to get a drink before getting dinner next door, place nearly empty but got the side eye from the 4 or 5 hipsters that were hanging out at the bar. We were out celebrating our anniversary so I ordered a couple pours of a top shelf bourbon and was GROSSLY overcharged for it!!! A full bottle of barrel bourbon is $80 dollars and I was charged $47 dollars for 2 measly pours, would've refused to pay so much but didn't want to be embarrassed. Felt totally ripped off...Afterwards we weren't checked on or attended to in any way, went next door and got some real service. We won't return.
