What a great place! If you are in Franklin, stop in and have a drink and take in some great local music.

Great place to chill out, good food and Adam is over the top friendly bartender/waiter.

Barista was VERY friendly and helpful. we ordered up two homemade cherry cokes and one root beer float. Truth be told, we came for the wifi and didn't expect much - but once we arrived, I knew this was a cool place with great ambiance and clearly a dedicated local following. the decor is kitsch

As others have said, the atmosphere was great! We also enjoyed the coffee and cinnamon roll my wife and I split. Thanks!

Caffeinated oasis in the heart of a North Carolina town which is as quaint as it gets. Shop owner and staff were great and it seems that they have community events on a regular basis (a band was setting up to perform that night and the space was perfect for live music).

Cute place for coffee and/or beer or wine. Owners are very nice.

Without reservation, this wonderful & unique pub has the best Cappuccino I have ever tasted. I have been all over the world, sampling coffee from practically everywhere, and this establishment blew ALL the rest away in terms of flavor. Pure heaven.
I found this place quite by accident by typing in "coffee" to Google Maps. This was the only non-corporate coffee place open at 10pm that served a proper cuppa Joe. I risked it, and was amazed. Not only was the product amazing, but Adam and his wife who run the place could not have been nicer. When they figured out I was driving thru on my way to Atlanta at that time of night, he asked me if I liked espresso chocolate chip cookies. When I said "Of course!", he have me one On the House!.
The customers seemed to be interesting, all ages, and Not One Person diddling with a glowing gadget. Not a one. Everyone was actually talking to one another, playing cards, or whatever, while a groovy older gentleman played solo guitar. It was like a time warp back to the the late 80's or early 90's.
Rathskelller, also a true Pub, boasts a draft beer selection to rival any fussy big city beer tavern, and I couldn't count the bottled selections. I could make a weekend trip just for this one spot!
Unsurprisingly, this will now be my regular pit stop on my way thru this area of NC. The coffee was so good that I may just make a run up there on my motorcycle just for a cuppa once in a while!
Heads up though, they do appear to be closed on Sundays.

You would have to be a bovine, clodpated, citified moron not to visit this place when in Franklin. Everything about it, the other customers, and the owners is absolutely wonderful. Stopped in while hiking the A.T. and loved my experience...and I'm a New York City snob. 😀

They make the best chocolate expresso shake and the staff is very friendly.

Incredible staff, great selection of beer, and delicious food. Very comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Wish it would be open longer and more often, but that stems from how enjoyable it is being there.
