Good vibes and nice staff but the cold brew was undrinkable. It tasted watered down and burnt. More likely it was badly done iced coffee.
I want Durham to have good coffee shops but you just can sell bad stuff.

I’m not one to write reviews but I was enjoying my honey latte yesterday here when a man approached one of my favorite baristas (probably my favorite outside of Jacob) began accusing the employee of slander amongst other rude and disparaging comments. As a junior at Duke, I’ve seen her behind the counter every afternoon for two semesters after class. She was always a joy to see and I didn’t understand how anyone could be so upset with them. I was curious so I kept listening and overheard the two discussing the male being a ‘stolener.’ I wasn’t able to hear much more of the conversation but after returning from the bathroom, I watched the tattooed barista and another female exit the shop. I was then asked to leave and that the shop would be closing early. I took it to mean the two ladies were employees and the male was the manager (or owner, god forbid) and made the females uncomfortable enough to leave. Even if they were both worthy of being fired, or whatever the male claimed, asking patrons to leave because you can’t make a simple coffee is just ridiculous. No wonder those two ladies walked out. If you care about the way the world treats women, take your business elsewhere. Plus their plants have spider mites!! Sucks to see another male take the beauty out of customer service.

If you drink more tea than coffee I definitely recommend coming. (They do have amazing coffee too). I just always feel left out of coffee shops because they just have one basic tea. But not cloche they are inventive and diverse in their teas. Beautiful indoor and outdoor space!

Fabulous find during our short trip to Durham. Peaceful atmosphere. Friendly service. Delicious coffee and pastries. I had the strawberry rose flavored latte and cinnamon roll and my husband ate the ham and cheese croissant and had a mocha. We define were not disappointed.

Coffee and tea were pretty good. You can tell that detail goes into crafting drinks. Example being that the chai was fresh brewed tea, the way chai should be done not the powdered junk. Loved that. Vibe was ok. Kind of had that don’t touch anything, formal living room feel. Staff was middle of the park/indifferent. Not rude or snotty but not exactly friendly and welcoming. All things considered if you love coffee I would suggest it for the product.

A local gem. My favorite coffee shop in the Triangle area. All their syrups are homemade and feature seasonal additions. My personal favorite is the strawberry rosé. They also have very good pastries options. Sometimes, they run out of pastries because they are so good. Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating available. The baristas are very friendly and knowledgeable. Likelihood of being able to pet a cute dog is high. Support this female-owned, small business, you will quickly become a loyal regular. PS you can buy their plants!

I went this weekend and I really think they could do better on customer service and providing a welcoming vibe. It was almost like the staff didn’t want to be there. I’m a minority and sometimes those type of coffee shops can be intimidating especially if you don’t look a certain way, Maybe I have to be a white hipster with a laptop who orders something non dairy or gluten free lol

The vibe’s brilliant. The coffee’s good too. However, my Think Pink tea was disappointing. It sounded great on the menu but didn’t see it translate into the drink. Might have been an off day but likely will stick to the coffees if I go again.

I really like this place. I hate that I live a 30 minute drive away, but this place has an awesome vibe to it. Although I’ve only been in a few times, the staff is always very friendly and accommodating to my questions. The coffee itself is excellent. I’m picky about how I like my coffee, but they always seem to nail it!

Nice and quiet place to work. The coffee is strong and perfect. Decoration is superb, lot of plants and whites. Staff is also welcoming and professional, Ashley is such a fantastic barista. The patio is also great to hang out, a great new addition closer to Duke East Campus.
