Hidden gem. Homemade chai with option for unsweetened. Lots of tea and espresso options. Very cute clean chill vibe. Small indoor seating options but large outdoor area.

Warning they will make a matcha latte with mostly water and just a bit of steam milk on top. They said this is the traditional way to make matcha lattes. First I heard of this tradition. Wonder from where?

Ahhhh, I love this coffee place so much! Not only do I enjoy the flavors of drinks (their matcha is top quality), I find the array of plants and decor style to be so soothing! As an artist, I love making visits here to sketch. Great drinks, great service, great location!

Super cute coffee shop with cute plants you can buy and wonderful people! The parking lot sneaks up on you, and the coffee shop is inside a larger building/office so a bit hard to find at first. Small porch area to sit outside

Cloche Coffee is a hidden gem off of Duke's east campus. While its not as large as mad hatters or other nearby cafe's it provides an incredibly unique and cozy environment.
COFFEE - The espresso game here is very much on par with local competitors. I would go as far to say they have the best espresso in the area with the possible exception of the Oak House. The coffee is served in clear glasses which is like seeing the inside of a washing machine but also it gets HOT.
SEATING - For such a small space there is actually a good deal of seating! A large patio and efficient use of indoor space mean that somehow seating is rarely an issue. While this isn't the BEST place to come to work due to limited indoor seating and lack of outlets outside it is very workable. The outdoor area is an amazing place to sit and take in the views of beautiful broad street.
FOOD - They stock pastries from 9th street bakery. Nothing special but nice to have.
AMBIANCE - Cloche went all out with the plants on white paint aesthetic. I think this often leads to a sterile feel but Cloche does it well and manages to remain cozy. Great spot.

Arguably my favorite coffee place in Durham. Small, intimate, clean and good espresso.

Nice place, natural and painted wood interiors, and a great iced latte. I imagine it gets packed at times, so get here early to get a seat.

This is a super cute local coffee shop with lots of plants! The inside is kinda small but very cozy on a slow, rainy day. The outside patio is even better than the inside in my opinion; it feels like a tiny park hidden just off of a busy street. Drinks are yummy, they have seasonal flavor syrups that never dissapoint. Highly reccomend the salted honey if they have it.

Matcha was watery and essentially a slightly green/gray cup of almond milk. Barely any matcha in my matcha latte. The muffins were both soggy and dry at the same time. Not worth the $20.

I love my coffees and I must say this place served the best iced caramel latte around the area. The cute cafe vibes is cherry on top for someone looking for peaceful time!!
