The Waterfront Shops

One of my favorite places to go in OBX! The sunset is always beautiful there! Great selection of stores! I highly recommend to anyone looking to spend a night out!

DONT MISS THIS PLACE! This group of unusual shops is located on the Sound in the north end of the town of Duck, NC. I loved the Allie & June shop (very upscale items that can be embroidered or not--I got the cutest rose gold colored leather crossbody purse and then went back for a pewter one and a black one), the Zen & Zip shop (very upscale and unusual sportswear items--leggings-tops-jackets-Corksicles...all clothing sourced from New York City), a shop called Untucked (upscale men's sportswear--now also featuring women's and children's clothing--ask about the 4 way stretch bamboo slacks) and the Olive Oil shop (the nicest and most knowledgeable guy works there--at least 12 types/flavors of olive oil and 8 or so of basalmic vinegar--all can be taste tested and will be bottled in your choice of 4 sizes of bottles--plus accessories of all kinds.

Best spot to watch the sunset, but most of the shops close at 5.

If it's your thing then stop. And by thing I mean shops filled 3/4 full of things you don't need at inflated prices...then yes stop.

What a great collection of shops. I really liked the Duck General Store and we found some great stuff at Dazzles. There were a lot of other really great little shops too.

We got coffee from Duck Cottage twice. It was so good. My wife got the Nutty Duck and I got got the Mucky Duck both times. Great coffees. I also got a terrific blueberry crumble for breakfast.

In the evenings, we got milkshakes from Sunset Ice Cream while we started out at the water. The strawberry milkshake was really good. And the espresso milkshakes were incredible. We stopped back three days in a row for milkshakes. Great stuff. We love wondering around the boardwalk at The Waterfront Shops.

Fantastic boardwalk shopping right on the bay. Great for a stroll.

Had a nice time with the family.
No restaurant for our group of 13 though. No big deal. Would return.

Went shopping here as a family. We had a really good time and the view is breathtaking.
