Island Smoothie

This smoothie bar is amazing. The owners treat every customer with the upmost respect. They create every açaí bowl, smoothie, and sandwich with the freshest ingredients they can find. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing. It has certainly enhanced my experience in Corolla and would go back in a heartbeat. If I could give it a higher rating I would!

I have been coming here the last couple of years since vacationing in The Currituck Club and absolutely look forward to the açaí bowls and smoothies. The staff is friendly and super patient with indecisive customers. There are so many great choices it’s hard to choose. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star rating is that this year I was very disappointed at the açaí bowls. Compared to years past, they were lacking. At $11.99 a pop plus $1 for each extra topping plus tip, I expected more. I remember being able to see the layer of granola over the açaí purée and then a bountiful amount of fruit on top, but not this year. It was just a sprinkle of granola. My açaí bowl was purely just açaí. I gave it a second chance the next day and experienced the same thing. The third day I played it safe and went with a smoothie. What gives this year?

Awesome place that we visit frequently whenever we are in OBX. Every type of bowl and smoothie you can imagine and they have fresh sandwiches as well.

Smoothie and Avocado toast VERY good! Definitely going to go here again. Just be prepared if you're the only customer they have, you may get a stare-down as they wait for you to read the giant menu and make your decision....a bit uncomfortable (but that was my only complaint), food is VERY good!

I was so excited to see there was a acai Bowl place that opened up! Stopped in to get bowls for my entire family to go and everyone loved them. They were super friendly and even put them on ice for me and carry them to my car. Can't wait to try the poke next!

Update: went back for more bowls, including poke. Fish was super fresh and very tasty. We got both regular and spicy bowls. Both very good. Love the one stop shop of healthy yumminess!!!

Back again August 2020: still delicious as always. We love ordering online, bring our coolers and enjoying them on the beach! Mmmm!

Stopped in for a quick smoothie on a humid morning, ended up trying an Acai bowl- wow! Delicious! After raving to the owners and a return trip, we decided this is one of our favorite quick stops! Will definitely be back for the great service and clean, refreshing eats! Great job guys!

There are lots of smoothie places but few have figured it out like Island Smoothie. They really have an impressive menu, chock full of fresh fruits and delicious combinations. The staff was very friendly and service was relatively fast

Awesome Açaí bowls! The fruit was SO fresh and the granola and honey was out of this world. Due to covid, we had to order online, but the whole experience was still a good & easy one. We’ll definitely be back before the end of our vacation! Highly recommend.

My daughter has a nut allergy and Rob the owner went way above and beyond to make sure her smoothie was made with no chance of cross contamination. Not to mention the smoothies were awesome!!!! Best customer service experience we have had in OBX!!!!

Awesome experience! Staff is very friendly and service was great. We went in with a huge crowd and ordered over 15 Acai bowls... these guys didn’t blink, and everything came out as ordered (even with the customizations we made). The bowls were flavorful with fresh fruit. Been here a couple of times since, and can’t wait to come again next year :). Thank you!
