Smelly Cat Coffee House & Roastery

I'm a big fan of local places that aren't chains. My wife and I have been going here for years and it's a great place. Great coffee and when they open the inside back up they have Wi-Fi and board games. With covid 19, they have chairs outside and you can still access their Wi-Fi. Definitely check it out if you haven't had a chance to yet.

By the way, you can also by bags of their coffee beans. We get the Noda Nights for our espresso machine and they grind it their for us.

I am visiting Charlotte and I walk to Smelly Cat every morning to get coffee when I am walking my dogs. After the first day, Caleb and the other people working there called me by name when I walked up to the window. Amazing, friendly service and great coffee.

Had a great time at Smelly Cat this morning! Sunday morning, so it was really crowded and had a long wait but it was well worth it. The lemon herb cream cheese was to die for and my fiancé got the bacon cheese biscuit and it was very good. Worth the trip!!!

Terrible service. Order was delayed. Not coming back. It should not take 30 minutes to get a cup of black coffee.

The breakfast bowls are excellent. The folks behind the counter are always welcoming and lovely. Excited to have this as my neighborhood coffee shop

Awesome little place! They have togo windows which made it very easy to order and get your things. Accommodating with today's times, of course the coffee is really good which is important but a combination of their really really nice service was awesome to me imo. Maybe it was just the two girls working today because I don't come here often but they were super friendly and nice and my latte was good af so 5 stars from me lol.

Sam: The atmosphere of the shop was really nice. The layout was pretty cool. It was a little crowded but that's unavoidable. I got the Cuban espresso, which was pretty good compared to Cuban coffee I have had in Florida. Would go back again.

Matt: The shop was very small but very nice inside. Was a little hard to move around but that didn't really bother me. I got the caramel latte (hot) and I though it was quite delicious. Definitely would go back again.

First time here. Just Passing through. Wish inside was open! Dreary morning standing outside. But it's ok. Ordered the Black cat coffee in a pour over. It's good! Definitely will go back next time in the area to try other things! Almost thought there might be smelly cats running around 😂😂😂 #smellycatcafe

Yes we all get it. This is one of if the the best small Coffee shop in the entire Charlotte area. Just don't get too much of a big ego about it okay? When you walk in here the interior design is immaculate. The lighting is perfect. The staff is quirky, confident and professional. They also have a great seating area in front and under a patio. Expect to see someone doing some really hip activity like writing a poem in a journal or making beaded jewelry when you go here. It is a definite place that has been a great contributor to the hipness of NODA.

Love this place. My only complaint is the hours change. I used to enjoy going after work but they close early now Monday through Wednesday. Absolutely awesome coffee and service. The cold brew is smooth and on point. They don't offer sugar free but I'm okay with that overall. They will customize anything for you. Pastries are delectable too. Cool, relaxed vibe here. They have games and outdoor seating. Wonderful coffee stop.
