Smelly Cat Coffee House & Roastery

The coffee at Smelly Cat is smooth, strong, and tasty housemade syrups. This has been my favorite coffee shop for years.

Waited at the window for ten minutes to order due to “an iPad issue.” Then ordered two drinks at the first window and went over to the second to pick them up. They had only made us one, so we asked for the second. The server stared at us blankly like he had stopped functioning, literally saying nothing. After awkward silence, we asked again and were told we’d have to get back in line—which was 16 people long at this point due to the “iPad issue”—and order again. No thanks.

To make sure we hadn’t paid for the second drink, I asked for a receipt. He said he could only text or email it, so I gave my phone number. Realizing that he was only pretending to take down the number, probably assuming I’d be walking away, I told him I’d wait at the window until it came through. Then, he got a pen and asked for the number again. What respectable service. 👏🏼

The one drink was good, so I’ll give them a second star for that, but the service is clearly lacking.

Cozy little place. Loved the menu options. Amazing vibe. They have games. Played this fun game called Double Shutter. Try it.

I've been to many, many coffee shops and Smelly Cat is honestly one of my favorites. They consistently have the best coffee around. They make the best iced dirty chai I've bought.They're breakfast burritos are also always a solid choice. A few of my other favorites from here include the vanilla latte and their iced Americano.

The employees are always friendly. They've got a nice chill atmosphere, both indoor seating (when it's allowed) and outdoor seating. I love that they're locally owned and roast their beans. This was a regular place to visit when I lived in Charlotte and I still make sure to stop in anytime I'm near Noda.

This place is the perfect little gem. Small and quaint inside and great staff. Good selection of drinks. Pretty quick service too.

One of the best coffeehouses in Charlotte. Always get friendly service. Love their breakfast biscuits!

Great coffee, cute shop, and yummy breakfast sandwiches.

I loved the atmosphere of this place and the friendliness of the staff but the coffee was not my top pick in Charlotte. The hot chocolate here is incomparable though.

Coffee was absolutely amazing, vibes were incredible, staff was super sweet and friendly. Now, if you need somewhere to absolutely CLEAN your stomach out, go to this place. I don’t know what MAGIC, is in their beverages but my gut is clean, clear and my body is EMPTIED…..of all toxins after I drank this beverage. 12/10 recommend, absolutely amazing for the gut health.

Friendly, fast, fantastic coffee. The only place I've found in Charlotte that makes a Cuban cortadito, that's deserving of 5 stars alone
