Grand Strand Coffee Bar-AKA Eric’s Place

The man shushed my 2 year old before taking my order. I was going to order sandwiches too, but refuse to give more business to someone like that. We are frequents in the area and will not be back.

Was on vacation down in the calabash area and was dying for a good cup of coffee. A quick Yelp search and Grand Strand Coffee Bar came up. Less than a mile away, I ventured over and am so happy I did!

Atmosphere was everything you could want in a small, local coffee shop. Friendly service, handwritten boards. The place was definitely a community center place - everyone knew each other by name, everyone happy and excited just to see each other.

Product was just as delightful. My wife had an Almond Milk latte and I had a light roast Breakfast Blend. Everything was fresh, and the owner was very accommodating!

My only request would have been for at least a Vegan great or two, as besides the drinks there wasn't much else for a Vegan to order.

Had my first experience with this lovely coffee house today and it was wonderful! The coffee and food were great and the staff was extremely helpful. I asked for a recommendation and they actually asked questions about what I like to drink before recommending something, so I got a great beverage that I would have ordered myself had I known the menu! The prices can't be beat either. A specialty coffee and muffin were less than $6. I had to double check the prices! I will be going back on a regular basis.

We usually stop here to get coffee and breakfast and the drinks are amazing. Today however the service was terrible. We went thru the drivethru only to be spoken very rudely to. We ordered 3 of the same bagel and 2 of the same drink. At the end of the order he says, “this is the last time I will ask this- is that all??!” When we got to the window we were not greeted at all and then when he opened the window he said next time we need to order inside. First of all- it’s only the first official day things are open again AND he was not wearing a mask or gloves. I support small businesses 100% but I will not be returning to this coffee shop

I enjoyed my visit to Grand Strand Coffee Bar.

What can I say: I wanted a cup of dark coffee, and I got it. My coffee was quite delicious, and reasonably priced (and included a free in-house refill!); and though I would've preferred a French press or pour-over, the drip-brewed seemed quite fresh. My server was prompt and attentive, and I left this establishment without complaint.

I stopped by this morning to get a dozen donuts to bring to work. I was shopping LOCAL rather than going to my favorite Dunkin for donuts.
I ordered a dozen donuts at 10.00, a little higher than Dunkin price :

And when I selected the donuts, the owner asked me if next time I could call him the day before because he only makes so many donuts and I depleted his supply.

There will be no next time. I declined to order coffee as well.

Best coffee cake muffins we've ever had. Great coffee and atmosphere as well. Would definitely go regularly if we were local!

Owner was so inexplicably rude to myself, as well as my family. He talked to everyone except us and didn’t even acknowledge us nor use basic manners, which is especially odd considering you’d think he’d want customers to come back. Coffee was terrible but pastry items were ok and not too bad of a price. However, my family nor my friends and I will ever come back. Horrible customer service and check your attitude!!! Save your money and go somewhere else.

First time trying I ordered over the phone literally took 1 minute When I picked up my drinks he told me he lost 7 calls taking my order. Will not be back ever again Very rude old man runs this place.

Eric is great. Does it all by himself. Bakery is awesome, coffee is great. Support local.
This guy works seven days a week, bakes all the goods himself.
